Heroes Preview: Season 3 Episode 18 (3.18) Exposed
Matt and Peter have uncovered the secrets of the organization pursuing them, but at the cost of Mohinder’s capture. So now what? Heroes continues with Season 3 Episode 18, titled, “Exposed”, which finds Matt with bombs strapped to him! Or at least, that’s what Matt saw in his paintings. That, and a bomb blowing up in Washington D.C. Now that’s gonna cause quite the problem for our ex-cop and his ex-nurse compatriot. What awaits the Heroes in “Exposed”? We’ll have to find out next week. Until then, here is your preview for Heroes 3.18, “Exposed”.

THE HUNT CONTINUES AS MATT AND PETER GET CLOSER TO EXPOSING THE TRUTH
After receiving a tip from “Rebel,” Matt (Greg Grunberg) and Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) race to “Building 26” to rescue Daphne and recover files that will expose the government’s plans for those with abilities. Claire (Hayden Panettiere) finds help from an unlikely source in smuggling Alex (guest star Justin Baldoni) out of the city. As Sylar (Zachary Quinto) and Luke (guest star Dan Byrd) continue their road trip, Sylar begins to have memories of his father that lead him to the truth about his mother. Meanwhile, “The Hunter” (guest star Zeljko Ivanek) puts his own agenda into action with an explosive surprise for one of our heroes.
Randall Bentley, Ashley Crow and David Lawrence XVII guest stars.

Hello. Next episode looks great, can’t wait.
Just a thought here, I do think it kinda sucks that they’re using another bomb story. Clearly they have run out of ideas, or they think that because season 1′s plot had success, that something similar could work. I disagree with that plan. Season 1 was great, but It can never be duplicated, and both the writers and the viewers should move on.
I am excited though to see what Peter will do next, he clearly is getting smarter by the episode and stronger. I really liked the part where he dropped the flash-bang and flew away. Meanwhile we have Sylar to keep us entertained, which he does. Hurry up Monday!
It’s true that it’s a little uncreative, but I personally was thrilled.
wasn’t that nathan that flew away? cause ive never seen peter make a pattern in the sky. when it showed a flash thingie thrown it only showed the pattern in the sky which is nathan’s mark…i think it was him
o and also if it was peter he would have absorbed matt’s power! almost 4got
Peter has shown that he can absorb it when he wants, and by touch but at the moment he wants.
How is it that Peter was able to keep flying once he rescued Matt? surely once he touched Matt he would lose the ability to fly and gain Matts ability????
For the most part, it appears Peter has relative control over whose power he absorbs (except maybe in highly stressed situations like actual fighting). My personal opinion on the Peter’s power arc (and I believe similar theories have already been put forth) is that he has lost his empathy and that is playing some major role in why he is having trouble keeping more than one power at a time. It may also be related to Sylar or his dad’s powers maybe being able to do such and him getting that part of his former power from them, but I think that it is more related to his growing lack of compassion for his fellows. Claude (I think) stated in S1 that he needs to remember the person and empathize with them to really use the power, but now he has grown more cold. Wiser yes (and finally), but alas that has come at a cost.
Actually, Claude told him that he needed to forget about the people around him. It was Peter who discoverewd he needed to think about them after he thought about Claire when he was falling off of the Duveaux rooftop.
That is why I put “I think” in parentheses because I could not completely remember (it has been over a year since I last watched that season).

I’ve said this time and time again. Peter can take whatever power he wants WHEN he wants. I think you’re confused because of the tracy thing, but he didn’t “accidentally” take her power. He wanted Niki Sanders’ power. He didn’t know it was tracy. That’s why he looked confused. He didn’t want to take Matt’s power, so he didnt.

He didn’t kill the puppet master, but they made it seem like he was killed. Sylar just caused him to pass out or gave him an anuerism or something. (311, did I spell that right?? I have no idea.) I think eventually Sylar will have no choice but to team up with our heroes.
I was pretty stoked to find out HRG is working both sides. I wonder what Angela has in mind, whats her plan??
nope, hes not dead, I am assuming that Claires ‘help’ in smuggling out alex comes from Doyal, so i dont think hes in a flashback, but in real time.

Episode was great! But now I have to wait another week. Sucks. It left me with so many more questions…but that’s what has made the show great, suspense…Can’t wait to find out what Angela and Noah are really up to…something good (in a bad way). Too long til Monday =(
I wonder who Angela is talking to when she says, “the game has changed…you need to be ready”. It could be Noah, but I really hope it is Peter. Maybe she has a solution/answer to Peter’s problem of only being able to hold onto one power at a time. That would be awesome.
I think you hit the nail right on the head. You notice someone is being injected with something? If you saw the recruit webisode racheal had a sample of the formula and then was forced to give it to angela. what if she uses another shot of the formula to jumpstart peters powers! Just a theory but that would be cool.

Another thing, Angela and Arthur of all people should know how peters powers work. I bet you Arthur had every intension of giving peter his powers back. Of course he probably did something to peter so his power would comeback weaker. This way Arthur could still control him. Angela, from her knowledge of the formula, Arthur’s powers, and Peter’s genetics knows what happen and how to fix it. This maybe why she was so into trying to find some of formula at the beginning of the volume.
Maybe wishfull thinking but it makes sense.

Hello guys. I was thinking last night while watching the show that “what if” this story is building up to a future like the “five years gone” episode. If you think about it “specials” were being hunted by the government. Sylar tells peter that Nathan was the one that started hunting people not him. Peter still can get a scar on his face before he gets his full power back. It would be sweet b/c it would build up to the “Peter vs Sylar” confrontation everyone is waiting for. There are a couple of grey areas with this theory but my point is that the future would be the same situation but different details. Instead of NYc its D.C., instead of Peter blowing up its a bomb strapped (or not strapped) to Parkman when it blows, but I haven’t figured out how Sylar will turn into Nathan unless he finds some sort of shape shifter or illusionist (since he supposedly didn’t get the powers in season 2)there is another one out there since future Peter turned into present peter in season 2. I do think the bomb will go off plus it would be a good way to put Nathan in the oval office (especially with the bomb going off around the white house). I’m not saying it will be exactly the same but will could be very similar.. anyways just wanted to share that.
Thats probably the best idea I’ve read yet…Finally someone who has a good theory that can actually be backed up (unlike most of the other idiots who write on this board)
Although, if you think about it, and this is just a minor point – Niki was in that future. Where would she be now?
I’m not sure that the writers would link back to that future. I think it sounds very cool, but maybe too predictable perhaps. Of all the carzy time-jumping arcs they’ve had, I doubt they’d go back to one which seems pretty impossible.
I’d like them to prove me wrong though!

I didn’t like him in context of Season 2, but I always wondered how his silly “robots vs aliens” philosophy would have worked in the earlier part of this season, especially when the supers and normals was a hot theme of vol 3 (which naturally spills somewhat into the current volume). He would have fit in perfectly with Pinehearst, complete with his own backstory rival from Primatech (that being HRG of course). What a waste -_-”
It wasn’t so much that West was a bad character, just a bit out of place…an oddly developed character who was more or less a random excuse to give Claire a love interest…kinda like some other character we know…*ahem*Alex*ahem*
West was the worst actor ever “Mr Butler, what are you doing?!”. He was a horrible character and belongs with Monica imo.
Totally agree that West was horrible…But how can you hate Monica? She just had a bad story line. They should have incorporated her into S3 somehow. Adoptive Muscle Memory – one of the best abilities yet by far. Her character has the potential to do ANYTHING with that ability.
There’s always Volume 4,5 and 6!!!!
She’s been hinted as returning in Volume 4 by the writers and Brian Fuller might have brought Dana Davis (Monica) with him when coming from his cancelled show “Pushing Daisies” in which she made a guest appearance.

Plus the episode Fuller wrote is the episode we find out who Rebel is. Who do we know that’s related to Tracy, Monica and can communicate with technology!

Micah is ok but if Monica comes back I may stop watching the show. Her acting skills were horrible and I found her character just plain boring. That New Orleans montage they did was pathetic.
