“Heroes” Online Comics to Include Artists Jim Lee and Michael Turner
The “Heroes” online comic book series, which will be “published” online to coincide with each new episode of “Heroes” the TV series, is getting a major boost. If you are a comic book geek, then you probably know the name Jim Lee and Michael Turner, two of comicdom’s biggest names. Well guess what? According to this article from CBR, both Lee and Turner will be doing issues of the online “Heroes” comic book!
“Heroes” creator Tim Kring said this about the comic book:
“The comics will contain both ancillary material and additive material to the show. Not necessarily a retelling, but a kind of different direction into the story. In other words, if you read them you will have sort of greater and deeper knowledge of the stories you’re seeing. So, often times it may tell a story from another side or through another character or may contain the missing beats of the story not told on the show. Say a character gets to a certain place in the TV show and you jumped him past four or five story beats, you’ll get a chance to see how he got there in the comic… “
And about the online comic actually making the jump from cyberspace to actual comic book?
“I would certainly hope so and I’m hoping there aren’t any legal issues in doing that, but my guess is – listen, I’m looking right now at color copies of these things and I just don’t know why you wouldn’t. They are spectacular.”
