Heroes Nominated for the Teen Choice Awards

By Sam | July 5, 2007 (3:35 pm) | More: Heroes Awards and Nominations

Heroes news is hard to come by today (or at least, nothing of real note), so here’s old news that Heroes nabbed some nominations for the Teen Choice Awards, which I’m assuming was created for, um, teens. But since Paris Hilton was also nominated for some reason, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the Teen Choice Awards is really, well, not that important. But that shouldn’t stop you from watching the awards show live August 26 on FOX anyway. (Unless, of course, you got better things to do…) Head on below to see the categories for which Heroes was nominated.

Heroes was nominated in the “Choice TV Show: Drama” category, along with Grey’s Anatomy, House, Lost, and Kyle XY, as well as in the “Choice TV: Breakout Show” category, pitting it against Ugly Betty, Friday Night Lights, October Road, and something called South of Nowhere.

Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli) is up for the “Choice TV Actor: Drama” category, and will have to beat out Hugh Laurie from House, Jared Padalecki from Supernatural, Matthew Fox from Lost, and Wentworth Miller from Prison Break.

Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennet), meanwhile, was nominated in the “Choice TV Actress: Drama” category, and will be going up against Emily Deschanel from Bones, Evangeline Lilly from Lost, Jennifer Love Hewitt from Ghost Whisperer, and Katherine Heigl from Grey’s Anatomy.

Hayden, along with Masi Oka (Hiro Nakamura), as also nominated in the “Choice TV: Breakout” category, along with America Ferrera from Ugly Betty, Matt Dallas from Kyle XY, and Taylor Kitsch from Friday Night Lights.

Villain Sylar (Zachary Quinto), meanwhile, got recognized in “Choice TV: Villain”, and will have to defeat fellow TV baddies Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luther) from Smallville, Vanessa Williams (Wilhelmina Slater) from Ugly Betty, Michael Emerson (Ben) from Lost, and Robert Knepper (Theodore Bagwell) from Prison Break.

Basically, the Teen Choice Awards has an Award for just about every category, from TV to movies to hotties to sports. You can vote for your favorite Heroes actors (and the show, of course) here.

The 2007 Teen Choice Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, August 26, at 7:00 p.m. CST.
