Heroes News Round-Up: September 4, 2008
In our latest round-up of Heroes news that didn’t quite make it into their own posts, we ask the question: What’s Milo been saying about his future film career? What’s this about a couple of Heroes being related? Also, what exactly does a gritty, depressing sci-fi show like Battlestar Galactica have in common with our very own Heroes show? And of course, what Heroes news round-up is complete without an entry on the going-ons of our favorite cheerleader?
So is there any type of SPOILERS at all? Not really, but here’s something that might be of interest, in case people were wondering the same thing. TVGuide has this little ditty on a possible relationship between two characters on the show:
I’ve heard a crazy Heroes rumor that Adam and Niki are related. Is that true? — Stacie
Matt: It’s certainly crazy! Very crazy! And untrue.
Did anyone actually think Adam and Niki were related? I would think the better association would be Claire and Adam.
So what does Battlestar Galactica and Heroes have in common? Writer Mark Verheiden, apparently (via):
A few weeks back, Sci Fi execs felt so good about the show that they ordered additional scripts, but there’s been no news since then. (A side note: “Battlestar” writer Mark Verheiden, who wrote one of those “Caprica” scripts, has begun work as a writer on NBC’s “Heroes,” where he’ll be helping out with the second arc of Season 3).
I seem to recall that Milo Ventimiglia has mentioned before about playing Robin in a Batman movie. But in case Christopher Nolan (director of the last two Batman films) is listening this time, Milo thinks he would make a great Robin. He tells Showbizspy:
“I always thought I would make a great Robin.
“I would love to be Christian Bale’s sidekick in Batman. Even when I was younger I never wanted to be Batman.
“I have always wanted to be Robin. To this day I still think that would be pretty cool.”
In our daily Hayden watch, we find the indestructible cheerleader taking time out to head over to David Letterman’s TV show to chat it up. She’s been on the show before, and this is her second time, if I recall correctly. Pics via Gossip Girls:

Finally, Masi Oka and Milo Ventimiglia took the Heroes show Down Under to Australia, where they met with fans and promoted the show’s upcoming third season. Pics via Gossip Girls:

It was thought that Niki was related to Adam because in the online comics, one of the last names he took over the years was Sanders.
here is the scoop folks:
claire, sylar, peter, nathan, and adam are all related.
thats why peter and sylar have similar abilities
and claire and adam have the similar abilities.
the genes sometimes skips, so that nathan is different.
and, adam is not related to nikki, as some have suggested here.
when is the volume 2 GN on sale???
Ah bless, Milo wants to be Robin. Too bad Christian Bale has said if they ever write Robin into the new franchise he’ll quit.
I don’t think it’s that unusual that Niki and Adam could have been related, they both previously had the same surname and even though now they seem to be ignoring the heroes genetic link for injecting blood (*yawn* what a stupid idea, I preferred it before) other heroes are related in some way.
Yeah, Adam took on a “sanders” last name in the graphic novel *nods*, Plus, they’ve both got blonde hair and blue eyes. That’s not so crazy.
The 22 will be here soon enough. Thanks for the info
I think Hiro may be related due to Angela and his dad having something going on.
Hiro better not be related to Peter and Nathan, I don’t like that at all god why does everyone have to be related! Stop it!
