Heroes News Round-Up: September 4, 2008
In our latest round-up of Heroes news that didn’t quite make it into their own posts, we ask the question: What’s Milo been saying about his future film career? What’s this about a couple of Heroes being related? Also, what exactly does a gritty, depressing sci-fi show like Battlestar Galactica have in common with our very own Heroes show? And of course, what Heroes news round-up is complete without an entry on the going-ons of our favorite cheerleader?
So is there any type of SPOILERS at all? Not really, but here’s something that might be of interest, in case people were wondering the same thing. TVGuide has this little ditty on a possible relationship between two characters on the show:
I’ve heard a crazy Heroes rumor that Adam and Niki are related. Is that true? — Stacie
Matt: It’s certainly crazy! Very crazy! And untrue.
Did anyone actually think Adam and Niki were related? I would think the better association would be Claire and Adam.
So what does Battlestar Galactica and Heroes have in common? Writer Mark Verheiden, apparently (via):
A few weeks back, Sci Fi execs felt so good about the show that they ordered additional scripts, but there’s been no news since then. (A side note: “Battlestar” writer Mark Verheiden, who wrote one of those “Caprica” scripts, has begun work as a writer on NBC’s “Heroes,” where he’ll be helping out with the second arc of Season 3).
I seem to recall that Milo Ventimiglia has mentioned before about playing Robin in a Batman movie. But in case Christopher Nolan (director of the last two Batman films) is listening this time, Milo thinks he would make a great Robin. He tells Showbizspy:
“I always thought I would make a great Robin.
“I would love to be Christian Bale’s sidekick in Batman. Even when I was younger I never wanted to be Batman.
“I have always wanted to be Robin. To this day I still think that would be pretty cool.”
In our daily Hayden watch, we find the indestructible cheerleader taking time out to head over to David Letterman’s TV show to chat it up. She’s been on the show before, and this is her second time, if I recall correctly. Pics via Gossip Girls:

Finally, Masi Oka and Milo Ventimiglia took the Heroes show Down Under to Australia, where they met with fans and promoted the show’s upcoming third season. Pics via Gossip Girls:
