  1. Tim…your the best with this serie!!!!! ja!!!your the best producer,i identify with some caracteres,i got some dreams strange i think some people in this word got powers like you serie maybe im one, because i think in something accustom I think that I am somebody special in sense of your series because that I have algun to be able because before happens the things comes me to my mind and I can avoid it not that it is but that something happens with me

  2. Oh, my god. Now I’ve see everything:D

  3. Humanity - every last one of us - we’ve become nothing but glorified flatworms really. We’ve learnt that the only way to survive is to feed on others, in an intellectual sense; and somehow incorporate this knowledge - this ‘vast wealth of accumulated wisdom’ - into our own identity.

Every generation consumes the knowledge of that which preceded it in this way; and over time we have become like the flatworms whose own abilities scientists marvel over in the laboratory - they can feed on those who have traversed a maze before them, and inherit their knowledge of which path they should take. They are denied the opportunity to find their own way.

But that is a laboratory experiment. Outside the lab, flatworms are allowed to live as nature intended. I however, was not. I had to follow the synthetic rules of society; herded with the rest of the cattle into a school system in which I failed to succeed, due to my unwillingness to void my personality in order to assimilate its regurgitated information.

What should be my greatest asset - my individuality - means nothing in this world. Despite my talents; any undeserving, generic, carbon-copy drone with the right certificates has a better chance of success than I.

By rights, who should suffer? Myself - who decided to keep my individuality untainted as much as possible in favour of becoming another worker drone in this seething worm colony we call a society? No. It should be those who have sacrificed the purity of their identities for the sake of having an easier life.

Do you really think that thousands of years of evolution - was meant to serve no greater purpose than to make mankind nothing more than glorified flatworms? Do you think nature has engineered our genetic code with such a level of diversity only so we can go through a system that treats us all exactly the same?

There is no justice in the world. In order to succeed, I’ve found I’ve still got some ‘feeding’ to do - but I’m free to choose my own diet.

Really, when you learn from others; the least you can do is realise the sacrifice they have made in order for you to do so. It is basically a transference of life essence, after all. ;)

Which character do I identify with most from the series? You work it out. The clock’s ticking…

  4. Is my last post entirely representative of me as a person? No. But I believe a part of what makes the character of Sylar such a compelling villain, is that there is a certain kind of resonance - deplorable though it may be -with a darker part that lies deep within the human psyche.

Who has not, from time to time; looked at those who have achieved more than ourselves in their lives - through either hard work or good fortune - and wanted to feel that same sense of accomplishment? Sometimes, it’s tempting to blame those who have succeeded where we have not; for our own failure.

Look back to World War 2 and Adolf Hitler’s rise to power atop the rising tide of resentment he instilled in his countrymen; against the Jewish people, whose only crime was to cope better with the financial hardship gripping Germany. This is an example, of how the covetous hatred which Sylar personifies in the Heroes television series; has its counterpart in fact - and the power of this dark force to influence the actions of mankind.

Yes, this feeling is all too real. But heroes also can exist beyond the two dimensional realm of the TV screen. If evolution itself has been unable to eliminate this dark taint from the human physiology; we must personally endeavour with each passing day to reach a point of spiritual evolution - through whatever means - which will allow us to overcome it.

It’s a battle that takes place on a far smaller scale, than what we witness on the series - but no less critical. To succeed; we must look within ourselves and come to realise the unique gifts which evolution has been beneficent enough to bestow upon each of us, and be thankful for them.

We must look at others whose talents differ from out own and see them as a blessing - a way to compliment our own abilities and give us strength in ways in which we are lacking. We must realise that success is not always something to be realised individually - but can sometimes only be achieved by working together as a team.

That’s what I’ve learnt from watching the series.

  5. Phobeus, no one is going to engage you in some deep philosophical discussion about good and evil in the comment section of a post about a sweepstakes where a t-shirt is at stake. If you want to have a discussion, please use the forum. THAT’S WHAT THEY ARE FOR.

  6. The movie brings virtualness into a real ethical situation for example incase man had powers how would the world be. I thank the producers of this movie and their creative thoughts about it. I very much think that the producers themsevles should be heroes why? they bring out situations that the viewers have to keep asking themsevles and dreams become their hope
