The Hollywood Reporter has just confirmed a number of cast additions to Heroes, including David Anders as “the ancient samurai warrior Takezo Kensei, Hiro Nakamura’s (Masi Oka) childhood hero”. (So basically all those questions I asked in the previous post? Answered!) Other new additions to the cast includes: Barry Shabaka Henley, Holt McCallany, Japanese pop star and actress Eriko Tamura, Lyndsy Fonseca and Dianna Agron for recurring roles. Which means that a previous report about the newly crowned Miss Universe Riyo Mori joining up as Hiro’s Princess girlfriend has not panned out, and instead Eriko Tamura will play the “Japanese Princess” character.
The rest of the new additions break down as such:
Henley will play Detective Fuller, a New York police officer. McCallany will play Ricky, the ringleader of a group of Irish thugs.
Fonseca and Agron will play beautiful cheerleaders in Southern California, where Claire (Hayden Panettiere) is expected to move. Fonseca’s character April is sweet, while Agron’s Debbie is a mean girl.
So we learn Claire will be moving to California, where she will (one presumes) meet up with West, the guy with the “cool” superpower, and some new cheerleaders. Eh, I still don’t care for this plot thread, but I guess they have to keep Claire busy somehow.
Here’s more of Eriko Tamura, Hiro’s new girlfriend (from a fansite of hers):
