Heroes at the Emmy Awards Watch
Will Masi Oka and the cast of Heroes get a chance to go on stage and scream, “YATTA!!!” tonight at the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards? (For those who don’t know, the Emmys will run LIVE on FOX at 7:00 p.m. You can go there now to catch the pre-show, well, show.) We’ll have to wait and see when the winners are announced, which, if you know your Hollywood Awards shows, will be a looooooong time. I will update this entry whenever winners for the relevant categories have been announcted.
Keep an eye on these categories:
Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series (David Semel, Director)
Outstanding Drama Series (Tim Kring, Executive Producer)
Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series (Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura)
Outstanding Art Direction For A Single-camera Series (Curtis A. Schnell, Daniel J. Vivanco, Crista Schneider)
Outstanding Single-camera Picture Editing For A Drama Series (Michael Murphy, Donn Aron, Louise A. Innes)
Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (Kenn Fuller, Gerry Lentz, Richard Weingart)
Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Series (Five Years Gone, Mark Kolpack, Mark Spatny, Gary D’Amico, Daniel Kumiega, Cedric Tomacruz, Diego Galtieri, Chris Martin, Ragui Hanna, Jon Rosenthal)
Outstanding Stunt Coordination (Ian Quinn)
I’m not familiar with how the Emmys run (it’s been AGES since I’ve seen one of these things), but if it follows the movie version, they’ll do Masi’s category pretty early, and save the Outstanding Drama Series category until the VERY END of the broadcast.
