George Takei Joins “Heroes” as Hiro’s Father

Cheer up, “Star Trek” fans! Your show may be off the air, and they may be attempting to butcher your universe with a “Star Trek” movie prequel, but at least you can look forward to seeing Mister Sulu (aka George Takei) return to the small screen in January 2007 as, not surprisingly, the father of our very own Hiro Nakamura! The news comes courtesy of the SyFy Portal, who quotes Maki Oka as saying about the news, “This is absolutely brilliant… Hiro’s father is this big honcho who shows up in America with his bodyguard. He has this whole elaborate scheme to kidnap his son and take him back to Japan.”

No wonder Hiro worships Star Trek. His dad was an original member!
