Former Castmembers and Crew Find New Gigs, James Kyson Lee Talks Season 3 and 4
A couple of former Heroes castmembers have found new shows, while James Kyson Lee (Ando) does the publicity rounds for some upcoming projects and spills a tad on what remains on Season 3 and what’s coming up in Season 4. All that, and more, in this second day of Heroes filler news stories. Yes, folks, it’s Tuesday, and it’s still six more days until new Heroes episodes.
Speaking to SciFiWire, James Kyson Lee offered these nuggets about the remaining episodes of Heroes Season 3 concerning Ando, the latest hero who can “supercharge” others’ powers:
Right now, we know that it can supercharge other people’s abilities, but if you remember the very first episode of [volume three] “Villains,” we got a glimpse into an alternate future where you saw Ando blast away my buddy with this sort of electric red lightning type of blast. So there’s a lot more to this power than what’s been revealed, and I think when we come back, you’ll see one more new dimension to that ability… I don’t want to give away too much, but you’ll be able to see if and how that could possibly happen. I’m not saying that that scene that we saw was going to happen at all, but in terms of seeing the ability evolve, you are definitely going to see that. I’ll tell you, he’ll be more than a supercharger. He’ll be a lot more.
About Bryan Fuller’s return (his first script back being next week’s Tracy Strauss-centric “Cold Snap”):
Let me tell you something, man. He’s a special guy. I love, love, love having him back. He was part of the magic for season one. I was so happy for him for Pushing Daisies, and I loved the show. I thought it was so creative and wonderful. Now that he’s back with us, oh, so great, so great. I hope all of us will be together for the entire run of the show. …
And finally, on the storyline for Heroes Season 4 (and Volume 5):
Well, I don’t know exactly in terms of the direction of the arc of the volume, but you will get a little taste at the season finale. I can say that you will meet a new female baddie. I think Joe [Pokaski] and Aaron [Eli Coleite], our writers, kind of revealed that, gave that little teaser on their blog. You know what it is? The characters that we all came to know from the first season, I think we’re sort of going back to the reality of their lives, meaning these are characters that actually live and they have to go back to their personal lives and whatnot, and the consequences of that after going through such an odd, supernatural series of events.
He also talks about Baby Matt, and Hiro and Ando babysitting. Read the full article here.
Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter reports that former Heroes castmembers Nick D’Agosto (Claire’s California crush, aka West the flying boy) and Noah Gray-Cabey (Micah) have both booked new TV show pilots. D’Agosto and former Smallville star Michael Rosenbaum will star in NBC’s untitled Justin Adler comedy, while Gray-Cabey will get to show off his musical talents in ABC’s performance-arts drama Limelight.
So does this mean Rebel isn’t Micah aka young Mr. Noah Gray-Cabey? Not really. Landing a new pilot wouldn’t necessarily keep Micah from showing up in a cameo or a guest-starring spot on Heroes.
For those might have missed it, former Heroes producer and writer Jesse Alexander has landed on his feet just fine after being fired from the show. He’s now running his own show, an upcoming post-apocalyptic sci-fi actioner called Day One, which is set to premiere on NBC next year. Here’s the premise of the show:
The project, produced by Universal Media Studios, chronicles the aftermath of a global event that devastates the world’s infrastructures when a small band of survivors strive to rebuild society and unravel the mysteries of why the event took place and what the future has in store.
