Ex-Heroes Castmembers Update: Dekker, Roundtree
A couple of updates on former Heroes castmembers who have gone on to find fame and fortune elsewhere, i.e. projects beyond Heroes. Variety reports that Thomas Dekker (Zach) will be starring in the independent thriller “From Within” (co-starring Elizabeth Rice, Adam Goldberg and Jake Weber, and to be directed by Phedon Papamichael). Meanwhile, Richard Roundtree (Charles Deveaux) will be joining the burgeoning cast of the Wachowski Brothers’ live-action version of “Speed Racer”, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Set in a small, God-fearing town, story focuses on a young girl caught between her Christian upbringing and a desire to experience the outside world. Her desire to break free is amplified when residents begin to die suspiciously.
In “Speed Racer”, Roundtree joins Matthew Fox, Christina Ricci, Susan Sarandon and John Goodman. More about the film:
“Speed” centers on young race car driver Speed (Emile Hirsch) and his quest for glory in his thundering, gadget-laden Mach 5. Roundtree will play Ben Burns, a racer-turned-commentator who is an icon to the fans and a hero to Speed.
