New York and the world’s salvation is at stake and it’s up to a geeky office worker from Japan to save us. It’s Hiro versus Sylar. Geek versus the baddest man on the planet. Who ya got? Oh Lord. Meanwhile, Matt and HRG combine forces to stop The Company. Here’s a video preview of Chapter 21, “The Hard Part, airing May 7th (and added, promo stills from the episode):

First off I love the series, but they have drug the whole Sylar plot thing way to out. How many times has Sylar been captured, two, three times. He is powerful but not invinceable. And if the COMPANY knew that such a dangerous person existed, as well as escaped from them, and killed one of their agents as well as attempted to kill another agents family. Then I believe a hit would be put out on him.
The Haitian has the ability to neutralize Syalr’s power. I think if Hiro, Peter, and the Haitian teamed up, he could be easily stopped. Also since Sylar is so power hunger as well as an meglomaniac, I would love to see him suffer an ignoble death not by other heroes, but by an ordinary person. That would be such a blow to him that he would crumble mentally. Seriously an Accuracy International 50 cal sniper rifle, with over a 1 mile range would easily take Sylar out.

He could hear the shot

Since when does sound travel faster than a bullet?
duh.

apparently in the preview Thompson says that the girl in the previews, molly walker i think, can stop sylar
(Report this comment)
Molly Walker is a spin-off of X-Men 3’s little neutralizing boy… he has the cure. Just like in that movie, where they have a mutant that has the cure, the same is with this little Molly. The Haitian can stop them from using powers, but the little girl can take them out permanently.
Then, to add a twist.. his mom will slap him silly until he trips and falls in a man-hole, breaking his neck.

In episode 20 shouldn’t peter have stopped time and stabbed or shot sylar? then he would be dead until the bullet or knife was removed. And if Peter blew up, how was he so lucky to be blown back into one piece by the wind?? I dunno. I mean I love Heroes, but sometimes its not really logical…
(Report this comment)
Thats because Peter have the pheonix ability.
So he won’t die!
If he thinks like Jack Baur, he could kill Sylar like it’s just another fayed’s terrorist, that is effortlessly.

im a little confusd as to why theres a massive chase to kill sylar when peter is the one actually blowing up.
killing sylar would only prevent him murdering more people..
as much as hiro would not enjoy doing it, shouldn’t he be trying to kill peter…? or at least remove him from new york city ?

This was the hottest show yet the action never stopped. I was busy watching the playoffs so I had to watch it online. Everyone looks to had maximized their abilities. What the flu, Sylar is alive he was not the bomb it was peter. Now peter is a tough guy Hiro is a terrorist it’s going down his brother the president is really Sylar. So where is the real nathan petrelli is he dead? Did Sylar kill him or is he also like Sylar able to take anyones powers? That would mean the real Sylar is dead, Nathan can use others powers.

how can peter have a scar if he can regenerate ?
Reek,
If Claire was killed by Sylar, then Peter never met her. That means that he couldn’t have the power to regenerate.
This episode is going to be great. Not as great, probably, as the last two though.

I sure hope this show continues.. I was getting into Surface and it left people on the roof with the water coming in and that was the end of it.. it says the final 3 left is that going to be the end if it is then heck I do not even want to watch..>lol who am i kidding I am sooo hooked..

Here’s my theory people:
Peter Petrelli did not regenerate that scar because it is a scar that reminds him of something deep. He does not want to part with it… maybe because after he exploded, that scar is the only thing that was left because he started regenerating soon after the explosion. So he doesn’t want to part with it as a constant reminder of his guilt.
Also, Nathan Petrelli is dead in the future. Sylar killed him and took his ability. This is why he was able to fool everybody.

Justin, are you serious!!!!!!!!!
Syler gets Claires power 5 YEARS IN THE FUTURE!!!!!!
i think the tasks at hand in order of priority are:
1st= kill Sylar, so he cannot rule the “world” anymore
2nd= stop the exploding man (Peter or Ted)
my analysis is if whether NY will explode or not and Sylar will remain “alive”, the future in ep 20 will still happen.

Well Sylar obviously killed Nathan before the bomb. Sylar was able to fly to face off with Peter in the future. That means he also killed DL because he reached through the door and pulled Peter out into the hallway. And I believe that since Hiro has seen the future, he will be the one to kill Sylar. I mean the 9th wonders never lie, and Issacs paintings always happen.
What I want to know was the bicker between Sylar and Linderman in the future since they said that he passed the Linderman Act a year after the bomb occurred. I wonder if Matt knew about Sylar or whether he found a way to block out Matt’s abilities. Imagine Sylar taking the Haitian’s abilities. That’s would be the last power he should get after Claire.

it will be for sylar to get haitian powers unless he shoots him without using his tele powers
(Report this comment)
Sylar has to be killed because by not killing him the Cheerleader was in essence never truly saved because she meets her end five years down the road. The line of fate was altered not stopped.

Michael,
If you paid attention to the explanation in the episode, it said that in the UNCHANGED past, Sylar killed Claire because no one was able to help her. Hence, Peter never met her to get her powers.
In the CHANGED past, Peter saved her. But Chapter 20 was what would happen if the unchanged past continued.

i just believe that if Sylar dies then the series would not be the same. Even though every basically surrounds Peter, Sylar still has a big part to play in the Heroes series.

reek- did u c that hiro can rewind stuff? well he probably rewinded da healing process
(Report this comment)
Hey, kids… if Hiro goes back in time and kills Sylar back when he was Gabriel Gray, that means few of the deaths in the first season actually happened. Meaning that getting Gabriel Gray early would make it possible for Peter’s premonition dream of the bomb going off to take place. How else could Isaac be there?
Maybe Matt didn’t notice it wan’t Nathan because they always meet in the presence of the Haitian.

syler will nooooooot get claries powers. she can not die.DUH!!!!
why is isaac in peters dream? it must mean he and simone are coming back for the finale somehow. anyone agree?
tyler,
even though claire cannot be killed forever sylar does not need to kill someone to take their power/s. as his ability is that he can see how things work he only need to see the brain of the person with an ability and he realises how to use that ability.
cant hiro go into time and vist sylar at his clock shop and kill him their before he even knows that powers exist
even though if they go back into time to kill sylar that does not stop sylar from blowing up ny
i mean peter from blowing up
if sylar take claires brain realy quickly then claire could not regenerate
because the power is in her brain
I didn’t like this episode for one simple reason:
Why is Claire alive?
In the unaltered past, Sylar killed Claire, so Sylar could regenerate. ..Hiro couldn’t stop him, etc.
Then Peter somehow explodes NY (how can he do this if he hasn’t met Claire?).
So how is Claire still alive? Sylar hadn’t met her before..it’s obvious by his statement of “I’ve been waiting for this for a long time.”

Is Syler really dead after episode 24?
