Entertainment Weekly Features “Heroes” (SPOILERS!!)

By Sam | November 4, 2006 (1:12 pm)

Forum member Bradthebold alerted us to this fantastic article at the Entertainment Weekly website, which has an in-depth feature on “Heroes”. Among the interesting tidbits that comes out is this notion by producer/creator Tim Kring regarding the origins of the heroes of “Heroes”:

What if, in times of profound global duress, Mother Nature created new forms of life to deal with it?

On Niki’s evil mirror alter ego, who now gets a name — Jessica:

She’s a webcam stripper with an alternate personality. (That would be Jessica, who has superhuman strength and homicidal tendencies.)

As to the prospect of the heroes finally coming together in the comic book tradition and “teaming up”?

Kring says they won’t team up until the season’s final episodes.

Blast!

And the best news of all to “Heroes” fans? We all know that “Heroes” has already been renewed for a full year, which in broadcast TV (outside of “24″) translates into 22 episodes:

Perhaps sooner rather than later: At press time, Kring was still weighing a request by NBC to extend Heroes’ 22-episode season by two or three installments.

Three extra “Heroes” Season 1? I’m in!

On the prospect of the entire show and events being part of someone’s imagination (such as Micah’s)?

Kring swears there are no ”It’s all in a snow globe” moments in store. As for Micah, Larter says he has powers, she knows what they are, and she ain’t telling.
