Enterprise’s Dominic Keating Joins Heroes

British actor Dominic Keating is the latest cast addition to Heroes. According to Variety, Keating will play an Irish mobster, a character that has been mentioned many times in the past regarding new characters for Season 2. Variety says the character will be “recurring”, so that means he’ll be around for a while, at least in the beginning. Since the character is often referred to as a “small-time criminal”, I’m guessing that he’s not a Hero. How does he fit into the scheme of Season 2? We’ll have to wait and see…

Here is Keating’s biography via Wikipedia:

Keating was born in Leicester to an Irish father and an English mother; his grandfather, a brigadier, was awarded an OBE from King George VI. His first stage performance was in primary school, playing a cripple in The Ragged School. He then attended Uppingham School.

After graduating from the University of London with a B.A. in History, he tried various jobs before deciding to be a professional actor. To obtain his Equity card, Keating worked in a drag act called Feeling Mutual.

As of 2005, Keating maintains homes in both London and Los Angeles. He enjoys golfing, swimming, music, boogie boarding, tennis, reading and traveling.

His past credits include “Species IV”, “Hollywood Kills”, and the upcoming “Beowulf”. And of course, Trekkies will remember him from “Enterprise”.
