Sylar killed him, but he didn't go away right then and there (when you had sympathy for him since he was a victim). He continued on (as Sylar, but for all intents and purposes, Nathan) until it became apparent Nathan was culpable in a girlfriend's death as a teenager. Then he gets killed off. I just hope they don't pull a Tracy/Jessica/Nicole rebirth gag. I think the writers of the show killed off Nathan brilliantly. Nothing happened that I didn't expect to happen, until the very end of the episode. Emma breaking the wall, Hiro appearing in front of Peter, and Sylar going to the carival were the only goods things- the rest was just boring.
