I have a question about season 1 lol, I thought about this the other day and it got to me.. Couldnt the whole exploding peter thing have been totally avoided by bringing in the haitian and blocking his power?
that couldve stopped sylar also, i havnt watched the ending of season 1 for a while so yeah where was the hatian during the kirby plaza incident? lemme know guys

No, the Haitian made it to New York? Remember? Claire ditched him at the airport and made for New York to find Peter. She went to Peter’s apartment and found Angela Petrelli and the Haitian waiting for her there.
Of course, after that I have no idea where he ended up…
What I’m wondering is this…Can Peter absorb the Haitian’s power, or does the Haitian’s ability to stop power keep Peter from doing so? But if Peter absorbs the Haitian’s power, he can nullify the Haitian’s power to nullify powers and….ugh…Too early in the morning for circular thinking.

Well, That could be possible but there have been times when someone was able to override the haition power. For example, when Nathan flew into the sky and Sylar is a complete mystery. He has blocked Eden’s power and faked death and stuff.
I guess that wouldn’t have been a very reliable solution.

I don’t know….The third season didn’t do it for me,maybe because toooooo much has happened in these 2 episodes,they didn’t have to cram so much into just 2 episodes.I guess the final straw was Angela telling Sylar that she was his mom,Jesus,that was too much,if the rest of the season is going to look like a bad day on “Days of our lives”,then I’m giving up on this show.

Since we’re pondering over Season 1’s ending. Why didn’t Peter just fly himself up and explode in the air… and then heal. It doesn’t make sense that Nathan had to do it.

Peter needed all his concentration to contain himself therefore couldnt fly and needed nathen he even said this before exploding in the air as nathen was carrying him, Im thinkin that Hiro will have to fix all this and get the hatian to kirby plaza somehow and to stop himself from going back to japan and meeting adam, cuz hiro is pretty much the reason Adam turns bad and then goes after the virus then again whos to say adam wouldnt of turned out that way anyways… anywho season 3 tonight at 9 YAY!!!!!

If Adam didn’t turn bad, the Company wouldn’t have been founded and the Haitian wouldn’t have been picked up from Haiti. Also, Hiro has already proven twice that changing the past is impossible, so it’s a no-go there unfortunately.

To answer to Tyrones question, in Season 1 Peter can only use 1 power at a time, and since he is allrdy using the radioactive power he can’t use his flying ability.

Alright, but didn’t Peter let go of Nathan and fly the rest of the way while Nathan was falling? Maybe not, it’s been awhile since I’ve seen season 1.
And I completely agree with you on the fact that Hiro is to blame for Adam. I really don’t think Adam would’ve turned had Hiro not taken his girl. Hiro should have left when he said he was going to leave. But hey, SEASON 3… lol, YES!!!

Speaking of the Haitian, we all know he can block peoples ablities. We also know that Claire can heal and her blood has the power to heal others. Now, couldnt the Haitians blood be used to block people powers (temporarily or permanetly)? Is it safe to say that since one ‘hero’s’ blood can heal, anothers ‘hero’s’ blood could hinder?
Just a question I had while rewatching season 2, (Bob is talking about a ‘cure’ and the Haitian is standing right there. Im thinking “Theres your answer!”) in preparation for TONIGHT! SEASON 3!! WOOHOO!!! ok, sorry, anyways. what do you think?

It seems to me that everybody has a base power. What I mean by that is, everybody has this power, and from there they can up it one more level.
Examples:
Matt Parkman; Just mind reading to actually controlling anything about the brain.
Hiro Nakamura; Just controlling time to actually traveling through time.
Claire Bennet; She’s suppose to find something new she can do in Season 3.
So what I’m trying to get at is. If the Haitian’s base power is just erasing memory, and that he just uped his power up to controlling the brain nerves that control the abilities, the blood cure won’t work.
Does that make sense at all?

no supposedly in a deleted scene Kaito tells Ando that his power is to predict Probablities of statistical information and see every outcome of every choice almost like seeing the future but not quite actually “seeing” the future where as angela actually has dreams and visually sees the future happen. I can’t see this episode yet as I am not in the US, would have to download it from Mininova/EZTV later. So I’m just being curious about whether what the producers claimed would be a hot, messy, steaming sex scene would be… a hot, messy and steaming sex scene.
(BTW I’m watching this show with my kids and I wouldn’t want them to see any nudities, so if there’s any actual nudities being shown, I’ll shoo off my kids first before I play the movie on my HDTV)

WOW!!! that was insane….there arent any words that can fully describe how great that premiere was… I wont say anything too specific about it since many of you have yet to see it, but i will say, you will NOT be dissapointed in it at all. I had read a few spoilers in the previous weeks to see exactly what direction this season would be going in, and nothing i had read had prepared me for it. I dont see any other series premieres even coming close to touching heroes, great job heroes crew, you deffinetly know how to not dissapoint your fans =D

I was definatley a fan, and definately disappointed by the first 2 hours. Way too dark and emo. Nothing to cheer for what so ever. But, i’m a sucker for the good-guy in stories. I have no interest in the evil side of things. Even in video games! To each his own, i guess.

Overall, I’d give the two episodes overall an 8 out of 10.
The Good:
Loved the scene with Hiro watching his father’s DVD. Had a good laugh at that.
I REALLY like Daphne. I hope we see lots more of her.
It was great seeing Hiro and Ando working together again, although now there’s this tension because of what Hiro saw in the future. I remember saying aloud after Hiro returned and walked up to Ando, “Awkward!!!”
Parkman thinking the turtle was talking to him. Hilarious!
Cristine Rose is all kinds of awesome as Angela Petrelli. Always a deliciously evil pleasure to watch her in action.
Nathan with Tracy: “Cut the crap!” Great moment there.
Poor William Katt. First you’re the Greatest American Hero, then you’re chunks of icy flesh melting into a sewer.
Great to see Claire’s biological mother back in the picture.
The WTF?!?
Let’s get the biggest one out of the way: So…what? Sylar’s a Petrelli? Claire should be calling him Uncle Sylar now? Sheesh!!!
Now we know for a fact that Sylar doesn’t eat the brains of the people he kills, but how does he obsorb their power from them? We really didn’t get to see that. Then again, maybe we weren’t meant to.
So, what exactly is Linderman now? A ghost? A figment of Nathan’s imagination; perhaps his conscience speaking through Linderman? Please, PLEASE don’t try to tell me he’s God or something.
Are we going to get some idea of how Niki survived the massive explosion that should’ve torn her to shreds? Or is Tracy a clone or twin of Niki?
It seemed that Angela Petrelli knew that FuturePeter didn’t belong there and made it very clear that his actions made things worse rather than better. If that’s so, who was she talking to on the phone after Nathan was shot, saying that what happened to him was “unavoidable”?
The Bad:
The confrontation between Claire and Sylar. Claire says she saw Hiro Nakamura kill Sylar. No, she didn’t. She couldn’t have. She wasn’t anywhere near the action when it took place. She didn’t show up until after Sylar hurled Hiro away, when Peter was on his way to going nuclear. And how would she even know Hiro? She’s never met him. Who would’ve told her about Hiro? Not Noah; he didn’t know Hiro either. Peter and Nathan weren’t in contact with Claire all of last season; they’re the only other people that knew Hiro. So, what gives? Also, what’s the point of Claire trying to lock herself in a closet? Couldn’t Sylar have torn the doors off their hinges? Who cares about the lock? You have the power to move objects at will; just yank the doors off! If I was Claire, I’d be hurling myself through the nearest window, blinds, glass and all. After all, it’s not like she’ll be permanently hurt by that.
Why is it that no one actually DIES on this show? Nathan comes back from the dead (which is good, because I didn’t want him to die), Linderman is back, and Niki is back (I think…who knows?). What’s next, D.L. and Isaac Mendez, too? I’m hoping there’s a much bigger reason for all this, some cosmic connection between Niki/Tracy, Nathan’s resurrection, and Claire being “special”.
Time travel on this show isn’t looked at in the most logical way. Hiro was robbed of something very important by Daphne, a woman who moves REALLY fast. Once he knows that, why couldn’t Hiro just go back in time to before Hiro’s about to take the formula piece out of the vent and say, “No! Do not remove it! Someone’s coming to steal it!” I do remember that Hiro has sworn never to time-travel backward, but wouldn’t you think he’d be inclined to make an exception for something that could potentially destroy the world if it falls into the wrong hands? Or, what about FuturePeter? He believes that Nathan’s speech is the beginning of the end; why not corner Nathan before he goes on the air to tell him not to tell anyone about his power, and why? Why shoot him and risk his death? I wouldn’t mind all of this so much if they simply followed up with some dialogue that explained why the most obvious solutions aren’t viable ones, but we didn’t get any of that this time around.
Mohinder going all Jeff Goldblum in the Fly. It’s almost an identical situation. When they showed him peeling off a piece of his flesh, I said, “Oh, please don’t have Maya accidentally rip his jaw off and Suresh suddenly comes apart to reveal some horrible creature!”
Finally…

The girl that sylar kills after Angela left the room has the power to see where things have been and I imagine this is to aid him to find the escapees…She could have just introduced her to Peter but says he’s a disappointment…hey Angela has a lot in common with Bob Bishop maybe the Elle, Clair talk has some truth after all.

Th time travel gets to me to sometimes if you think about it when hiro or Peter go back in time to change something then THAT version of themselves dont exist anymore infact that whole reality changed so where would the future version port back to? would this alteration not clone create a rift? or an alternate version of themselves permenatly stuck in the past or what we would concider the present? when H
