Everytime the writers time travel, whether its via Hiro’s powers, or the African character precognition or even last episodes use of the good old-fashioned flashback, I feel they kind of screw up. Chandra as a doctor bck in 1961? He seemed to be at least a decade older (around his mid-20s) if not even older than Angela in the flashback. Now, Angela is currently in her early 60s, which would have made Chandra in his early 70s in recent times. But obviously, the Chandra we saw in Season 1 was not that old, and in fact, seemed/looked younger than Angela Petrelli. Now, what is Mohinder supposed to be, about 30? Early 30s? That means, considering the new information from the timeline offered from “1961″ that Chandra must have had Mohinder when he was in or nearing his 40s. And yet, the S1 episode that show Mohinder’s family picture w/Shanti in it before he was born, seems to show his father was in fact still a young man when Mohinder was born, not nearing middle-age. And you would think finding/killing Chandra would’ve been the group’s first mission considering the events of this episode. Maybe they did find him & just erased his memory. Whatever the case, though, it doesn’t explain then how they knew about the “Shanti” virus (which was what they called it in a 1970s Hiro flashback).

Writers stop time traveling in episodes until you put way more thought into it! If I can pick out these inconsistencies surely you can too! I think the episode would have been fine without Chandra in it…

Actually, what’s the golden oldies music in the background which was Angela’s favourite.
I think the socks are refered to season 1 when once Angela had stolen socks and was being brought to the cops. I am surprised that 1961 has explained these to me. “Whenever I do not know what to do, I steal socks for you. You never have to be cold again,” this is simple but touched. Whatever, Angela is responsible for her lied years and years ago.
1961 is further touched than any other chapters ever.

I think I have the answer to this;

Remember when Angela lied to Sylar about being his mother & “fed him” the special who remembers everything about anything she ever touches? I think thats your answer; if he touched Peter, Peter had to have touched Nathan… see where this could be going?

this episode was brilliant. im so glad i stuck with the series now.i thought the girl who played young angela, played it really well. i think sylar will die. i cant help thinking he will go on to bigger things after this cos hes the best actor in the show, not that i want him to.
