Discussion Thread: Heroes Season 3 Episode 22 (3.22) Turn and Face the Strange
There are just four episodes left in Heroes Season 3, and the 22nd episode, “Turn and Face the Strange” promises to be an eye-opener for those who have been curious about why Angela Petrelli does the things she does, as the heroes literally go about unearthing her past. Not all the heroes, of course, as Hiro and Ando are still stuck with Baby Parkman, while HRG has to deal with the further disintegration of his marriage. As for Danko and his new best pal Sylar, maybe teaming up with a superpowered serial killer wasn’t such a good idea after all. RELATIONSHIPS ARE TESTED AS DANKO TAKES THE OPERATION TO A WHOLE NEW LEVE
As Danko (guest star Zeljko Ivanek) spearheads the government operation, someone close to him is put in the line of fire. HRG’s (Jack Coleman) life continues to spiral out of control and his marriage is dangerously close to the breaking point. Meanwhile, Hiro (Masi Oka) and Ando (James Kyson Lee) continue their road trip with a special delivery for Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg). Elsewhere, Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose) unearths the demons of her past.

its time for sylar(Zachary Quinto) to shave his sideburns they are getting annoying it doesnt fit whit the backslick hair. Btw cant wait for next episode. Im a true heroes fan i love all seasons i think they are just getting better and better.
I dont know where people got that thing that sylar lost all of hes powers from the shanti virus, it was never mention in the show. Now that we know he never lost those powers i think he should get back hes creepy demon voice he also had in season 1
Yeah and I can safely say that Heroes is about a little more than actors haircuts. Seriously man pick something more to do with the storyline or character development to complain about. And as said by Jason, Sylar lost all but his tk powers, due to empathy and guilt and that. I mean why do you think he hasn’t used any of the other season 1 acquired powers. Even the writers said it. But I agree he should get his “creepy” voice back.
i have been hearing how sylar only kept TK from season one. however, earlier in season 3 when peter went to the future to gets sylar’s ability, sylar ended up nuking the place. saying that this time was safely after he got infected with the shanti virus, and even if its a future that eventually won’t pan out because of the changing present, it is still unexplained why he he still had his nuking powers. either he somehow found someone else with the same power and took it, or if the writers said he only kept TK, then the writers have a plot hole.

is it just me or did anyone else enjoyed the part where “shapeshifter turn sylar” screams for mercy… ^__^
It was pretty good. Like Sylar was scared for once. Not sure we’ve seen him genuinely scared of anyone? Maybe slightly when his dad did that whistle stuff one him. But he did say he was “playing possum” so it was probably just an act. Anyone else remember Syalr being genuninely scared of anything? Was he not a bit frustrated/worried when he found he had no powers in season 2 (after he killed Candice).

yeah i remember when peter and sylar was in mohinders apertment, when peter throw sylar in the wall and then turned invisible. It sounded on his voice that he was scared
I just hope Sylar never finds Claude. It’s bad enough that Sylar can shapeshift now, but him with invisibility would be heinous! And if Sylar killed Claude to get it that would be even worse.
same here i never want that. 2 abilities that peter have that i never want sylar to get invisibility and flying.
One thing that would be cool to see is if sylar would have super straight, it would be awesome to see Peter and Sylar in a superstrong fight.
I have seen many occasions where Sylar appeared out of no where. Like the last episode he appeared in danko’s car. I think Sylar has it already. And since his telekinisis is so strong maybe he can use that to fly that could be how he got on top of that building

You must have missed when HRG was hunting Sylar and Elle when the eclipse was on. HRG put a hole in him and had him running for his life. I’m sure Sylar had to be a little worried also when HRG was slitting his throat while his powers were off. Ever since he got Claires powers his boldness has grown off the charts. Just wait for the return of his father, I’m sure his daddy might strike some fear into him once he re learns how to absorb powers.
I dont know why Sylar took the shapeshifter’s power, did ya guys forget, he took Candice’s power, the illusion and turn to whatever he wants, maybe because he just wants more and more powers

Dude others have tried to tell you this I’m sure, he does not have the illusion power. He had the Shanti virus so he was unable to figure her ability out and thus could not take it.
What I would to know is why Danko is so prejudice against people with abilities. Was he, or someone he loved, tormented by someone with abilities? Or is he essentially a racist? I do hope these next few episodes are of season 1 quality. But I’ll be watching whatever.

People have an incorrect view of me, I only correct people who misspell easy names like Sylar. It’s a main character, how can anyone get a 5 letter name wrong?

- Petre needs to get his power back readt for the big fight against Syler.
- Hrio and Adno need more funny scenes and we need to develope Adno power more
- Angeal is turning into a real good character, hope we learn more about her
- We need Trcay back
- Mtat more violent with his power
- Mohidner dead.

ever notice in the first (awesom e ) epoide of this season that when agents got tracy the first person she touched she went to freeze his arm but it looked like who ever it was asorped it. his face was covered with a mask.
I don’t know when pet is going to get his power back. I am waiting for him to get his all powers back. Third season has picked up since the 15th episode or so.
Waiting eagerly for final episode though… just cannot wait for so many weeks
Sylar shouldnt of needed the shape shifting power if memory serves me correctly he took the light bending power from the woman that pretended to be jessica and dragged him off curby plaza
But he had that strain of the Shanti virus that stopped him using his abilities at that point. So he wouldn’t be able to use it now if he didn’t understand how the light bending one worked then. No?

But that was a future where Nikki was alive, Peter had exploded in New York (thus destroying it), Micah and Ando were dead, Matt was a villian and HRG was helping people with powers.
No he didn’t. He TRIED to take her ability by physically cutting her head open but couldn’t get it because he had the shante virus. Remember he gets mad about it and yells.
I thought Parkman was supposed to confront Danko in this episode. If not this one, then sometime. For the sake of the story, I hope he doesn’t get caught. Otherwise, it’d be the forth time in this volume that he’d been caught and detained. (First: prior to the plane crash; Second: after taking HRG hostage; Third: during his breakin of Building 26) Another time would be stale.
Apparently someone close to Danko “is put in the line of fire.” There’s no telling who that could be. He doesn’t seem to have anyone close to him. Is Sylar the one doing it? Or Matt? We shall see.
The summary above says we’ll learn a lot about Angela, but I thought that the next episode, “1961,” was mostly about her. So I’m wondering how much they’re going to disclose about the Petrelli family secrets this episdoe. I’d be surprised if they’d “unearth” that much. We’ll definitely see them come together though. I’m excited about this episode, mostly because I just don’t know what’s going to happen. I’m really enjoying “Fugitives.” I think the story telling has rebounded.
I have two theories about Danko’s motivations. First, that someone close to Danko was hurt by one. Or second, the one I’m leaning towards, that he witnessed and survived a devastating event caused by a person with abilities. Brings to mind when Angela mentioned an event to Danko, involving mass casualties in Angola. She remarked how lucky (or something) he was to have survived. I can’t imagine them mentioning it without planning to address it later. I like Danko as a character though. And he’s played very well by Ivanek. He’s definitely the bad guy, and its easy to root against him.
I agree. But I think his motivation for finding and potentially killing people with abilities is a very personal one.
You may be right, it would explain Danko’s current personal detachment. You are right about Sylar not getting Candice’s ability. The future changed when the Peter exploded over the city, and not in the city. I’ll be disappointed if they lead towards 5YG.
You are forgetting that noah too hints to danko that he knows about his past, while they are talking about one of us, one of them. Noah tells him that it worked for himself and it looks as if it worked for danko too (probably what angela metioned). then danko says, i dont know what you are talking about. Clearly, Danko was working with a special at one time or another, probably some war type senerio.

we’ll see angela’s sis this episode..who I suppose has weather controlling power and whom angela has betrayed as well. Let’s see wht happens. Am very curious to knw abt someone close to Danko…
Ok, theories:
i dont know if this is mentioned by anyone already but i dont think that hiro is goin to get all his powers back. In the future and supposedly kills hiro but i think his is just boosting his power so that he can teleport, no?
Peters powers: i am unsure about Peters powers, i definetly want them back but i am not sure how. Perhaps through Clair? maybe her power will “repair” his power? the baby? Ando power may be able to boost his power to control more abilities at the same time. Or maybe its like Elle? when she couldnt control her power?…any thoeries?
And as for killing sylar…if that will ever happen… and i know most fans dont want him to die but if..wat ways are there?
i think there are two power, maybe three that sylar doesnt have and that can kill him/take his power.
Hiro’s- time and space
Matt- control the mind
Arthurs- TAKING abillities (nobod has this but we have seen people with similar abillities so..)

Anyone else think it’s weird, the episode Peter injected himself with the formula. How did he fly Nathan out of the window? He didn’t touch him to get his ability
he did actully he ran towards nathan and he grabbed him and flew out the window
Just to inform you that these last few days I read in many interviews that the final episode of this season is going to get a showdown between Peter and Sylar and that we are not going to like the result and in other interview I read that Sylar is going to kill a hero that is in the series since the first one. Peter is going to die? If that is so, then they just lost another fan

SPOILER ALERT yes in the season final sylar and peter will have a showdown and someone from the first season is going to die. it starts with an A ends with an A and her last name is Petrelli. oh and after peter injected himself he ran towards nathan and then flew
for being hardcore heroes fans you guys sure miss alot of information. like sylar never was scared when pete turned invisabel infact i think his exact words were _interesting cant wait to try that one._and other stuff to.
the reason why peter will leave the scare in the future is to differentiate between the real peter and a fake peter in case sylar turns himself into peter
aklamah2 you have an interesting thepry but thats if this show was like lost and the writers new where they were heading. but this show really has no core something to keep it grounded with suspense and surprise the writers need to find somethin like where the powers really came from and save it for the veryveryveryveryvery last episode of the whole series you no this would keep the shoe on its toes. and do you guys remeber the fault in the primatech facility where it had the dagger the brain it the vial and the four playing cars. i think they should tell us why those where there but thats if there like lost and actually follow there own story
since ‘I am Become Death” Peter has been changing..in the episode “Cold Snap” when he asked: “so what do you want to do now?” he sounded a lot like the future Peter with the scar..I like that one better..more determined..and mostly..more powerful both in abilities and his soul
I hope Sylar tortures Danko a little like: “aaah you’re scared of people with abilities eh?” and squeezing his neck 
I hope peter keeps his power now and touches sylar an obsorbe the AI thing or ia whatever his power is. Peter was stone cold with that power he even wooped sylar.
