Discussion Thread: Heroes Season 3 Episode 20 (3.20) Cold Snap

This might just be the most important episode of Heroes in a long while, mostly because it features the return of Bryan Fuller to the Heroes writing staff. Everyone has been waiting for this, to see what Fuller brings back to Heroes what he apparently took with him when he left to do his own show. We’ll now going to see where Heroes is headed with Fuller back in the fold, and “Cold Snap” should give us that road map. Here is your official discussion thread for this week’s new Heroes episode, 3.20, “Cold Snap”.

THE IDENTITY OF “REBEL” IS REVEALED WITH CHILLING CONSEQUENCES

HRG (Jack Coleman) convinces Emile Danko (guest star Zeljko Ivanek), a.k.a. “The Hunter”, to release Tracy (Ali Larter) from “Building 26,” in hopes that she will lead them to “Rebel.” As Angela (Cristine Rose) evades capture, she turns to an old friend (guest star Swoosie Kurtz) for help. In Los Angeles, Hiro (Masi Oka) and Ando (James Kyson Lee) continue on their latest mission from “Rebel” to protect the newest hero.

Brea Grant and David H. Lawrence XVII guest star.

Why are the writers of this show not getting the picture that the problem with the show is that there are NOT ANY INTERESTING, CONFIDENT FEMALE CHARACTERS??? Yes, Swoosie Kurtz is a step in the right direction, but any advice the show has gotten about killing off Tracy or Daphne or Claire misses the point.

Every other show on television hinges interestingly on romantic interests and sexual tension - every ambiguous villain or "nemesis" (hello, why wasn't Daphne Hero's love interest? She looks like an anime character!) henceforth needs to be female and a potential love interest to the male characters. It is time to kill off this explicit blame-mom-or-dad-for-everything storyline the show keeps falling into. Conflict with parents is in every show, movie, book ever written, so why does it have to be such an obvious focus of Heroes?

HEROES WRITERS: PLEASE CAST FASCINATING WOMEN AND LET THEM SPAR WITH THESE GUYS!!!

If you review last night's episode and pay close attention to when Tracy is shot by Danko and falls into pieces you will notice that the piece of her face w/ the eyes on it looks at HRG and winks at him. Besides, there have been previous threads posted on here that we will be seeing more from Tracy in forthcoming episodes.

I hope Tracy is not dead! I caught the wink after they shot her & I'm thinking maybe she can somehow reform herself once she melts. (?) Ali Larter is a great actress & her characters have always been my favrites on Heroes.

Are you sure Tracy was winking? I figured it was just a blink considering her face was broke in half. And the water melting down her face was supposed to symbolize her final tear. Then again Nuclear Pete blew up in the alternate future and was taking shots at the bar soon after. Claires bald headed uncle claimed he couldn't be killed by his own fire, which is why I think Claires mom survived the Pinehurst fire (or was it primatech?). I'm not even sure if black hole man succeeded in killing himself. I don't think they can self destruct like that. Which is why Tracy will probably resurface down the line. Or she'll just show up with another name or something since that scientist mass produced this chick. The Tracy character was kind of a tool anyway. How many times will poor Micha have to deal with his mom's, or someone who looks exactly like his mom's death.

Hopefully this episode will save the show. I LOVE THIS SHOW. I would hate for it to go off i want at least 7 more seasons and a movie

LOL. I thought the previews for that movie looked good but I never got the chance to see it. Can't wait until it comes out on DVD cuz it sounds AWESOME!!!

PUSH was a waste of time and I literally fell asleep during the movie.....I'll wait for the Blu Ray and buy it just to have it, but it was some what of a let down....especially those bug eyed screaming asian dudes....so corny!

Thats a good theory but they havnt shown anything yet plus how could sylar know where everyone is when he was on his own journey to find his father?
