Discussion Thread: Heroes Season 3 Episode 18 (3.18) Exposed

So now all the bad guys have been revealed (or have they?), plus we’ve learned the truth behind Nathan Petrelli’s kinda nutty reasons for wanting to capture the heroes. (Yes, I didn’t really buy it, either, but what are you gonna do?) Which leads us to Season 3 Episode 18, “Exposed”, which finds Matt and Peter racing to save the still-alive Daphne, the mysterious Rebel directing Hiro and Ando on their mission, and Claire trying to save Alex from dear ol Dad. Plus, a little kissy face time. Hey, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do, right? Clair Bear’s got needs to, ya know.

THE HUNT CONTINUES AS MATT AND PETER GET CLOSER TO EXPOSING THE TRUTH

After receiving a tip from “Rebel,” Matt (Greg Grunberg) and Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) race to “Building 26” to rescue Daphne and recover files that will expose the government’s plans for those with abilities. Claire (Hayden Panettiere) finds help from an unlikely source in smuggling Alex (guest star Justin Baldoni) out of the city. As Sylar (Zachary Quinto) and Luke (guest star Dan Byrd) continue their road trip, Sylar begins to have memories of his father that lead him to the truth about his mother. Meanwhile, “The Hunter” (guest star Zeljko Ivanek) puts his own agenda into action with an explosive surprise for one of our heroes.

Randall Bentley, Ashley Crow and David Lawrence XVII guest stars.

btw, there was a really cool song in this episode, when sylar has his flashback about his dad, the one where sylar's dad kills his mum in the car. Does anyone happen to know the name of the song?? thanks

rebel is eithr hana geittleman wireless from season one or a combination of micha and molly both of whom are missing in action from the show molly finds the people and micha sends the warnings but the big? is who is mat parkman? is it mat parkman jr. i have a theory dating way back to season 1 in the episode set in the future when the people with abilitys are being hunted silar is morphed into nathan and is president i think this is what is going to hapen in season 4 also season 3s future episodes show nathan as president with tracy strause as the 1st lady i think in season 4 it will be silar (disguised as nathan) and barbara as president and 1st lady

I started watching Heroes 2 or allmost 3 years ago in Sydney, Australia. As I was preoccupied with work I only managed to catch a few episodes. Then due to change of circumstances I moved to Bosnia for a while, where I found the first six episodes of season one and was hooked on it right away. Now in Vienna a friend I made couple of months ago told me about his collection, from season one to the first half of season three. I immediately asked him to lend them to me.
Then my gf and I were watching the first season untill i had to leave for Bosnia again. Arrawing there i wached the second an the first half of the third season in a matter of 2.5 days. lol. Allday long nothing bu Heroes. Back in Vienna i am watching the second season again with my GF. I can not get enough of it or wait till i get my hands on a compleat season three.

if peter got his old ability govt could do nothing against any of heroes. Peter is gonna sav all of them. He just needs Nathen, Mohinder n Clairs power to bring them to their knees. So writers cannot do it like that.
Anybody saw Nathen flying with Peter? I hope the hunter didnt see them clear. Story is gonna change I think Nathen becomes a hero again.

My personal thoughts on how Sylar meeting his dad is gonna go down. His dad is gonna die. Sylar is gonna kill him. That's the way I personally see it happenning. Probably gonna slice open his head and take his powers.

These are just my thoughts on the matter. I might be wrong.

I think that some of you guys are right in that pete has his dads old power it just needs to develope that would be awesome now that he's smarter and not relying solely on his powers all they need to do is put some sort of cap on it or make peter so he doesn't have every power just the ones he can put to good use. I think mama petrelli has molly and Micah maybe even monica, think about it she. Could do so much with those three and all of them want to use their power to do good, I don't know it makes sense to me I also think hrg may be involved in helping hide them I think him and angela are quite close and work g together to watch both sides. I'm quite interested to see the old friend that angela turns to for help, the new hero that hiro and and go to help and to see if sylars papa has multiple abilities or if it's just telekinesis. I want to know what's up with the Haitian and claude and even west they need to join in this fight, it involves all of them. Oh and that's a hell of an idea "what if peter touches to specials but if he took sylars power he would have the hunger again wouldn't he although sylars seems to be able to control it now. They need to make peter an equal to sylar again because someone needs to be able to match him.

Did anyone else notice that young Sylar's glasses looked quite like Noah's? I hope it's not a coincidence. Also, Hana being REBEL would tie up some loose ends nicely seeing as how she just kind of disappeared. My brother heard Micha's scheduled for another appearance though so I guess it's him. I really hope Claude is not Sylar's dad because Claude is def 1 of my favorite mini-characters and I don't want him to be a killer. I like how the show is now sticking w/ 1 main story instead of switching characters every 5 minutes but I do miss Hiro+Ando. Can't wait to see what happens with the puppet master! Also, the scence where the hunter is forced back into the room by his own guards, when they show the screen where Peter &Matt are, Matt gives a cute little smile-nod as if to say "yeah, that's right!" Just loved that.

I hope the narrations come back with some philosophical questions. Makes the show a bit more sophisticated and gives depth. Have the story lines based on some philosophy as well like the 1st series. It made it interesting! Season 1 was much more philosophically grounded and that's what gave the mystery. Now it's all predictable and too much what they think the viewers like, unfortunately. Still the best around though. However don't push it, I'm starting to doubt while I didn't before, even when everyone was complaining.

I agree Heroesgirl, but I think Micah may be part of a team..it is too predictable to be him alone, but I think maybe Angela or this is way out there, but Sandra Bennett could also be part of REBEL, maybe REBEL stands for something, like an organization or something...

I dont see the point of Micha being the rebel. I mean hes like 12! Yes he can hack into computers, but hes not a super genious or anything, and it seems way to predictable. But he might be, you just can't be sure. I think in cold snap (episode 20 i think) you'll get to find out. Nathan DEF rescued Peter-DUH otherwise he wouldn't have been talking to him on that balacony thing. WHAT DID ANGELA SAY TO HIM!??! I wish he'd just have flew after Peter, added some more action. But all in all a great episode and can't wait to see what happens with Nathan and matt and the bomb...weirdly I'm more excited about that than the syalr meeting his father thing. Strange huh?

Rebel is so Micah or Hana, and some sort of precog. They know where Hiro and Ando are because of their tracking chips that Hiro implanted in them.

So how did they know where Matt and Peter are? Molly has to be involved, either way we have two more weeks before all these questions will either be silenced or answered.

I forgot my first theory:

what if peter developed his power to a similar one like his dad had? (then we have the same dad-kid relation like matt with his thought power or sylar with his TK) and absorbs the fly power from his brother to protect.... or even harm him???
