hey - dunno if this idea has been posted as i havent checked throught but Im guessing Andos powers of "supercharging" surely will have something to with peter regaining full strength... peter hasnt come into contact with "new" ando yet but surely the only thing that could happen is that peter would absorb oodles of powers all at once, then he will be fine.

I think the "matt parkman" baby at the end of the last episode will have something to do with hiros powers being returned to him.

In the end the writers have to acknowledge the previous storylines (as someone else has posted above), if not then its all pointless; the whole thing is thrown into motion through the characters of ando and peter coming back from the past... if they have no powers - how do they come back? if they dont come back how is anything set in motion?

season two was a disappointment compared to season 1, season 3 is a massive disappointment compared to anything. It seems the writers have lost the plot and are fumbling around until one of them gets an original thought... these writers clearly arent worth the extra they got from the studios after the writers strike and seem to have read perhaps 1 comic between them. if i wanted the development of a teenage drama queen's relationship with her family or her falling for a 30something/supposed to be 16yr old pervy guy in a ridiuclously constructed and filmed show I'd watch the OC and then shoot myself. people watch this show for the action and "superhero" value, sure strong character development is great but not saturating the whole show in it and forgetting what the show is atually about. If claire doesnt have a MAJOR part to play in this then the ridiculous amount of time the writers have taken fumbling in their pants to pull out mediocre entertainment is pointless and irritating.

In the end - lose plot - lose fans - lose ratings - lose show.

The writers are not idiots, they just lost their inspiration. It's no big surprise. Daphne sucks. Aren't everyone entitled to their oppinion? Daphne's fugly.

How did Peter fly away with Matt at the end? I thought once Peter touched someone with an ability he got it, therefore he wouldn't be able to fly

what about the black "costumes" that both future hiro and future peter (and maybe even future ando when he "kills" hiro) are wearing? when are we getting that explained?
and how about those cheesy effects when peter's flying..

I find this particular volume to be quite frustrating specially where peter is concerned. I mean he loses his damn powers in villains we wait all the way to the end for him to get them back, we assume he does, and then somehow he doesnt have his original powers back??!!? What annoys me the most is the inconsistency demonstrated by the writers!!! i mean in season 1 we are told that the powers are based upon their DNA and genetics as if triggered by their adrenal glands. Now if we assume the injections/artifical powers trigger the humans genetic code to activate the power that they would get dna specific powers. So how the hell is peter's power different? He didnt change his DNA etc. Unless the issues is behavioural which i really hope for the writers sake it is because they have totally screwed this up.

this has been answered already. There's a genetic component and a personality component, the personality, or in Peter's case, personality growth, affects how the power expresses itself.

It seems Heroes has gone from a universal show that everyne could enjoy, to being somewhat of an extreme show that you eiher love or hate. Fortunately for my Monday nights I'm still in the love category, but I see where some people are coming from. Yes- Noah is back and forth still (personally I think it would be a great twist to kill him off)- but the idea now is that Claire is gonna do something about it, not run off to the bio parents as she would have in season one (good luck with that now). Hiro is someone we have never seen without powers or confidence, unless you count post Charlie depression. Having him be powerless for a little while is definately something that draws you in. If both Hiro and Claire are acting immature... well, they are a teenage cheerleader and a comic book obsessed trekkie. I don't know what to tell you.

ok so i, like everyone in here, have watched this show since the beginning and i agree that it is going back to season one. this is a very bad thing. First, we have been there done that. Noah being two sided is old as hell. Speaking of which why did he not fight off matt like angela did. He was as mentioned "too highly trained." Second, this episode went nowhere. Thy found out no real information, they accomplished nothing, and apart from the end where matt painted season one except made the setting Washington DC, nothing new was introduced. Also, daphne living does not bother me but matt's reaction was a little over the top. They should kill someone tho...maybe claire somehow,i am getting tired of claire worthless antics that lately only wasted air time, except for when she freed everyone from the plane. Lastly, the writers are not doing a good job. the keep switching sylars mentality and his goals and have been adding wierd crap for no reason other than to stretch out the season. Solution: spend more time on plot, go back to past, answer hiro mom's light question (what the heck happened to it?), bring newer developments, better twists, kill someone, and maybe a new power or two...def bring hiro and peters powers back

Just gonna throw this out there. May this explains we the writers have returned to the Big Bomb and circumstances of S1.

Perhaps what we are watching is the immutable past and "Five Years Gone" from S1 is in fact the present. When Hiro went back in time and warned Peter, the outcome was only a change in the variables (location and people directly involved) surrounding the "future" and the eventually destruction of a large city.

That's a good theory, and it would make sense. I'm with the idea that no matter what our heores do, the furture will still end up as it is in 5 years gone

And what happened to "the light" hiro's mom gave to hiro, who peter and nathan's dad took, who is "dead" now. Wasn't that something important, like part of where all this started? Maybe I'm just not wanting to think that it was a stupid equation for a special juice that was created by some scientist/mr patrelli. I hope thats not what we are supposed to have accepted already and moved on to the new storyline.

Come on people! "Boring" episode? If you want flashy stylistic action, go watch x men cartoons. This is HEROES. Its not about dressing up in costumes (although it would be cool if they put comic book references in the dialogue).

This episode heralds back to the zenith of season 1, keep it up! We all saw what happened where there was a lot of action and no substantial story - volume 2 and 3.. I hope this volume can restore the reputation of heroes and sets a platform for an even better volume in the future.

i like the actual episodes very much, because they show us an interessting aspect of reality. mostly people kill or fight against things they don't understand and if would people have real special powers..we would fight them...so the show ist sooo wonderfull now...-)
