David Anders Talks Season 3, Adam’s Return, and Villains

Oh come on, who thought David Anders, aka Takezo Kensei, was down for the count when Hiro teleported the immortal troublemaker into, literally, an early grave? Anders said as much while attending an Eclipse event in the United Kingdom. Not only will Adam Monroe return for the first six episodes one of the first six episodes of Season 3, but Anders feels that, because of Monroe’s status as a villain, he would fit in perfectly with the rest of Season 3’s theme — i.e. “Villains”.

“I believe so, yeah. I hope so. I know I’m going to be in one of the first six so … .” Anders told SyFy Portal’s Alan Stanley Blair at this weekend’s Eclipse event in the United Kingdom. “But after that, it’s called ‘Villains,’ and I am an uber-villain.”
In the third volume of the series, the villains of the show will get a chance to show just how bad they can be. Among them are Adam, Angela Petrelli (Christine Rose), 12 new characters still to be revealed and also someone that Anders feels he would struggle to live up to: the infamous power-snatching Sylar (Zachary Quinto).
“Sylar is hard to beat. Sylar’s eyebrows alone … ,” he added with a laugh. “Adam is just misunderstood. ‘When God wasn’t happy with what he’d created he made it rain for 40 days and 40 nights. He just washed it all away.’ I love my lines.”
Interesting that he mentions Angela Petrelli as one of the “villains” of Season 3. I guess we always thought of her as not very nice, but as an out-and-out villain? That’s something new.
What do you think about Adam Monroe’s return?

He didn't abandon Dr Who - the Ninth Doctor was only ever meant to be there for one season.

if Anglea is a villian, it might explain the idea of peter going down a dark path temporarily again if he is under his mother’s influance, and still no one knows what she can do.

According to the new Heroes magazine, Cristine Rose (who plays Angela) would strongly disagree with you; and she knows what her power is, but isn’t telling.

I was there at the Eclipse and I must say David Anders is a funny man. In the interactive novels the brides of Adam at the end he talked about his new bride will be the one to save him.
The 12 villains as bad as Sylar is that number just random? Or has it any connection to something like 12 disciples? I can’t wait for season 3.
Hopefully the planned actors strike in June won’t affect season 3.

I knida liked the idea of Adam being buried alive for all eternity, they should just bring him back in flashbacks to explain the founders of the company. But we all knew when hiro didn’t kill adam that he would be back…

hm..the thing about Angela.. guess thats right.. I always felt she’s one of the bad ones. And when I heard in the second season, where she said that she helped adam once, i thought ‘huh?’.. i dunno how this is going on, but i’m sure it will be really exciting. i’m really lookin’ forward to season 3…
And i hope that Adam will be shown on more episodes, not only one :/

I’m so happy that he’s coming back
he was so great and it was cool how hiro buried him all. but that’s just makes Adam want to gun him now. two bitter enemies coming out.
Right because heroes are supposed to have that one enemy that always comes back and gets under his skin in a way that no one else can.
I can’t wait for season three to preimere
