Kristin over at E! Online has spilled a new SPOILER about the upcoming Heroes Season 2, so right away I’m going to tell the squeamish among you to stay away unless you want to know a really big secret about Claire’s new boyfriend, West, namely what his powers are. Still here? Okay, read on…

Remember that people kept saying he had a “cool” power? Well I bet you thought he could turn into Iceman ala Bobby Drake or something, right? Apparently not…

Here’s what Kristin said about West:

Claire’s new boyfriend has something in common with one of her dads… Okay, we’ll stop teasing you. Claire’s new boyfriend can fly, and for one particular romantic getaway he picks her up and carries her to the Hollywood sign atop Mt. Lee. Also, according to our source, Claire is still very much a teenager and has been sneaking out of the house to hang out with her new fella.

So there you go. West, played by actor Nick D’Agosto, apparently can fly like Claire’s dad, Nathan Petrelli.

I guess he never needed to borrow dad’s car for dates…

Okay I love the idea. It goes with the whole girls fall for guys like their fathers, plus he has that childlike character that Peter had when he first me Claire. Also it takes the show away from texas and incest as much as i hated them making Peter and Claire related this closes an age gap and add another hero who isn't afraid to use his power. Plus this show Claire is growing up and learn to control her powers. AND WEST IS A GOOD NAME! It isn't a name you hear everywhere so automatically you think oo he is different. Then you find out he is another hero. Then there is the whole mystry about his family. Do we know anything about him besides he was taken by Claire's father in St Louis? It makes you think and plot for the next episode. SO stop the whinning and enjoy the show.

It will all be okay in the end.

OMG! Heroes has so many twists and turns! I only found out last night about Claires Biological dad Being Nathan Petrelli! Well there is 1 thing to say about Claire Petrelli... DONT BE STUPID! STAY HIDDEN, STAY SAFE! Afterall the motto goes... SAVE THE CHEARLEADER, SAVE THE WORLD!

OK I agree I think they sent Peters childhood teenager memory to spy on claire ...Peter has really been in-love with claire in a "OMG now your my neice" haha But West can fly Peter can fly nathan can fly, dont you think maybe just maybe its nathans memory or peters....The Company is capable of unspeakable things now. West could be a band of '13' mystery known to the spoilers as Kane. an ageless man who can go to any age he wants!

What if West's power isn't necessarily flight?
I'm wondering about the possibility that 'West' could be a projection of Peter's mind.
Before you dismiss remember that Peter has just recently been found without any of his memory, and he can fly.
West seemed to know Claire wasn't special from the beginning, even before she started acting strange (like writing down the answer instead of calling it out).
And finally, we don't know all the powers Peter has mimiced. The 'projection' ability, however it is done could be a facet of Jessica's ability, which allows her to inhabit Niki's body, which is the one with the strength, and Peter never met Niki/Jessica until he was about to explode.

Yes, I know... crazy theory, but this show isn't exactly normal.

Makes sense that more than one person would have the same ability - just like more than one person in the world has blonde hair...or green eyes...or dark skin...or freckles. It's genetics. And as we've seen, there are more than a few dozen people with ablities...we're looking at like..a couple hundred thousand people with special abilities. That's right folks, GENETICS.
Im kinda looking forward to the scene where Claire is like..

"Hey, West...I got something to show you."
(Claire cuts herself and heals)
West is like
"ZOMG, and I can fly!"
(flies and returns to Earth)
And Claire's like
"ZOMG SO CAN MY FATHER!"

Although, I do think it's kind of lame that his ability is the same as another one of the "heroes"...

When Mohinder is narrating he speaks of the different types of powers as a general. He lists off several types of powers that people can possibly have. So this made it seem to me that there are going to be plenty of people out there with similar or the same abilities.

more concerned about the trail of blood than the not quite boyf. Frankly, having duplication of powers lends credence to the concept of genetic emancipation. There are certain elements that require suspension of disbelief, for a fictional story to remain true to itself. This is one f the VERY few that is internally consistent. It, unlike so many expose in the gossip mags, deserves the benefit of the doubt. No. Really. RNHD
