Charlie the Waitress Shows up on Pushing Daisies

Ever wondered what happened to Jayma Mays, the actress who plays Charlie, the Texas waitress that Hiro fell so hard for, only to see her get sliced and diced by the evil Sylar? (You gotta wonder what’s going to happen when Hiro and Sylar meet up again…) Mays has been keeping busy, with roles in the comedy Epic Movie and a recurring character on the hit show Ugly Betty, and now a guest stint on the upcoming Pushing Daisies, which his being produced by former Heroes producer Bryan Fuller.

A reliable source tells me today that Jayma Mays, who played Hiro’s ill-fated squeeze on Heroes and Henry’s seemingly MIA baby mama on Ugly Betty, is doing a very cool guest spot on the best new show of the season, Pushing Daisies.

As if we needed a reason to love this show any more!

I’m told she’s playing Elsita, a woman who leads a life of windmillery (she lives and works in a windmill) in the fourth episode, and she’s fantastic.

Like the rest of you, I’m still holding out hope that we’ll see more of Charlie on Heroes very soon, but perhaps that’s just wishful thinking…
