True Love with Zachary Quinto
Zachary Quinto moonlighting as an Internet actor in a video for the website Funny or Die, featuring everyone’s favorite superhero-killin’ supervillain as you’ve never seen him before — knocking over fast food joints, taking hostages, and throwing out the “F” bomb like it’s going out of business. Needless to say, this is definitely NSFW, and is laden with profanity from Quinto. It’s not the funniest FOD video I’ve seen, and the only reason I’m posting it is because, well, it’s different. Again, NSFW.

Heroes Videos Galore
Milo Ventimiglia, always the most creative of the Heroes bunch when it comes to non-Heroes related projects, recently did a Cinemash of the South Korean action movie “Oldboy”. You can check that out, along with three Heroes clips from NBC — one is called “Heroes in Love”, and recaps the love affair of the various Heroes characters; the other two are profile clips for Claire and Sylar, meant to help new viewers catch up to what’s happened to the twosome in previous seasons.
Grunberg Promises, Quinto and his Dog, Episode 3 Title, Season 4 Premiere Date
Bummed about Bryan Fuller ditching Heroes once again? Michael Ausiello at EW went to Greg Grunberg, who promises him the best Heroes season ever. Then again, what else is he gonna say? Meanwhile, there’s a very odd video of Zachary Quinto making the rounds, and we now know (thanks to reader ashok lad) that the third episode of Heroes Season 4 will be called “Acceptance”.
Zachary Quinto + Tyler Shields = ???
Don’t ask, I don’t even know what’s going on here. But photographer Tyler Shields shot some pics of Zachary Quinto (Sylar), which includes a video of Quinto being doused with milk. Lots and lots of milk. The video is then rewound. Cool pics, though.
Pictures and video from Tyler Shields’ official site.
This Week in Heroes Filler News
In lieu of a new episode this week, NBC will instead rerun episode 3.14, “Clear and Present Danger” (full preview here). While we wait for next week’s new episode, 3.20, “Cold Snap” (full preview here), which will also mark the much-anticipated return of Bryan Fuller to the writing staff, here is what’s going on in the Heroes-verse. The good, the bad, the sordid, and oh yeah, some upcoming episode information as well.
Sylar’s Dad, Heroes in TV Guide, Win a Lunch Date with the Heroes Cast
A couple of Heroes news round-up for your reading pleasure today. First up, Hayden Panettiere is the cover girl for TV Guide’s upcoming 2009 Sci-Fi Preview issue, which also includes a three-page spread on Heroes that may or may not contain spoilers. Meanwhile, in Heroes casting news, Michael Ausiello over at Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Kirsten Bell won’t be back as Elle anytime soon, so if you’re holding your breath for the electric one’s return, I would stop right now before you pass out. As for the still living, Ausiello also scoops that bad guy turned anti-hero turned really bad guy again Sylar will be meeting his read daddy, now that he’s been assured Arthur Petrelli is not his real father. Or at least, he better hope Arthur isn’t his dad, after what he did to the old man, if you know what I mean.
Heroes at Comic Con 2008: Sylar Action Figure, Hiro Bobblehead
There is already that rumor, pitched by Tim Kring himself, that Heroes may be making a really bit impact on Comic Con 2008 by showing the Season 3 premiere at the convention. Now comes more reasons to buy your ticket to San Diego right now — a special Comic Con edition Sylar action figure, and a Hiro Nakamura Bobblehead doll, billed as the first-ever two-sided bobblehead doll (pictures of both below). The Sylar action figure comes with an exclusive Comic Con painting. Both items are limited issue, and will be on sale at Comic Con.
Heroes Action Figures Go on Sell, Actors React Videos
It’s been a while since I checked NBC’s official Heroes store, so I don’t know how long the Heroes Season 1 action figures have been on sell, but there are now videos of the actors reacting to their figurines included in the action figure pages. You can head over there to check them out now, or see the videos on the site below. Each action figure is going for $20 a piece.
Heroes News Roundup for January 15, 2008
Not a whole lot of Heroes news around the net the last few weeks, thanks in no small part to the ongoing writer’s strike, but here are just a few that surfaced. There is an interview with Zachary Quinto about his Trek 11 and Heroes schedule, Hayden is on the cover of the magazine Lucky (pictures and article excerpt below), and Masi Oka recently stopped by the Rachael Ray show and talked about his favorite sci-fi films.
Hayden is Wanted, Masi is Sexy, Get Tim Sale’s Paintings, Quinto as Spock
Now who would want to throw our little Hayden Panettiere in the pokey? Well apparently the Japanese Government, for one, who according to Hayden herself, has issued an arrest warrant for her via her Save the Dolphins activities in that country a little while back. Says Hayden about the incident: “I learned today that I have an arrest warrant out for me in Japan because of what I did for Save the Whales… I guess they could come here and get us, but probably not.” Lay off the cheerleader, Japan! She’s ours!
