Sendhil Ramamurthy and Kristen Bell Reunite on The Lifeguard
Looks like there’s a “Heroes” reunion going on on the set of “The Lifeguard”, an indie film starring Kristen Bell as “a reporter on the verge of 30 who abandons her life in New York City, returns home to get her high school job as a lifeguard, and starts a dangerous relationship with a 16-year-old delinquent.” No word on what character Sendhil Ramamurthy will play in the movie, but he’s coming off the USA Network show “Covert Affairs”, where he was recently killed off in the season premiere.
Sendhil on Psych, Milo’s Berserker Comics
As previously reported, Sendhil Ramamurthy will be making a guest appearance in the USA Network comedy-crime show Psych, and we have a promo of the show featuring Sendhil below. Meanwhile, Milo Ventimiglia is busy making the rounds at comic stores promoting his new comic book “Berserker”. So what’s it about?
Matt’s New Partner, Hayden on Set, Sendhil on Psyche
A couple of Heroes-related news for you today, including our first look at Hayden Panettiere on the set of Heroes Season 4. Up first, The Hollywood Reporter says that Matt Parkman is getting a new partner. Former Battlestar Galactica actor Rick Worthy (pictured, left), a longtime vet of sci-fi shows, will have a recurring role on the new season as Matt’s new police partner, which means Matt is once again back on the job.
Sylar’s Dad, Heroes in TV Guide, Win a Lunch Date with the Heroes Cast
A couple of Heroes news round-up for your reading pleasure today. First up, Hayden Panettiere is the cover girl for TV Guide’s upcoming 2009 Sci-Fi Preview issue, which also includes a three-page spread on Heroes that may or may not contain spoilers. Meanwhile, in Heroes casting news, Michael Ausiello over at Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Kirsten Bell won’t be back as Elle anytime soon, so if you’re holding your breath for the electric one’s return, I would stop right now before you pass out. As for the still living, Ausiello also scoops that bad guy turned anti-hero turned really bad guy again Sylar will be meeting his read daddy, now that he’s been assured Arthur Petrelli is not his real father. Or at least, he better hope Arthur isn’t his dad, after what he did to the old man, if you know what I mean.
Mohinder and Maya Gets Close in Season 3, Future Peter and Claire
The boys over at Spoiler TV has a scan from a recent issue of TV Guide that features a very nice picture of Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) and Maya Herrera (Dania Ramirez) getting close in the upcoming Heroes Season 3. Hey, at least Mohinder isn’t going to cut Maya’s head open for her powers, right? And this new plot development will at least keep Maya from going all crying-girly on us all the time. (Says Ramirez about her character’s upcoming relationship with Mohinder: “I think [the show's mostly male audience] are ready for some sex.”) There is also a new picture of Future Claire and Future Peter clashing, a scene that, pretty much everyone knows will open up the Season 3 premiere episode.
SPOILER Concerning Mohinder Suresh in Season 3
As always, the SPOILER tag is being used with this post, so do not read on unless you want to know something that was recently spoiled in our mega decka posting on the Season 3 premiere episode (read that here if you’re so inclined for mega spoilers). The following is from Kristin over at E! Online, and she sort of reveals a very interesting bit about Mohinder that have already been spoiled, but nothing that has been made “public” i.e. through one of NBC’s promos for Season 3. Read on at your own risk.
Heroes Action Figures Go on Sell, Actors React Videos
It’s been a while since I checked NBC’s official Heroes store, so I don’t know how long the Heroes Season 1 action figures have been on sell, but there are now videos of the actors reacting to their figurines included in the action figure pages. You can head over there to check them out now, or see the videos on the site below. Each action figure is going for $20 a piece.
Videos: Heroes Cast Talk Season 3
Kristin over at E! Online was recently at NBC’s Upfront, where the media are introduced to new and returning shows by the network, and she has a number of interviews with the cast and crew of Heroes. They talk about the upcoming Heroes Season 3, but nothing overly revealing, or you haven’t already heard before. E! Online is currently doling out the interviews one at a time, so I’ll be adding more video interviews here as they are put online over at E!’s website.
Mohinder to Lose his Narrator Job in Season 3?
According to one of Michael Ausiello’s daily column over at TV Guide, there are changes afoot for Heroes Season 3, in particular the part (or should we say, voice) of the narrator. As we all know, Mohinder Suresh (aka Sendhill Ramamurthy) is the voice that usually opens and closes each episode of Heroes, and has been for the last two seasons. So why change it up now? We don’t know, but according to Ausiello, Mohinder Suresh’s job as the show’s narrator may just have been outsourced — to an Aussie, of all people.
Heroes Eclipse Convention in the UK Update
Wanna meet Sendhil Ramamurthy, Hayden Panettiere, David Anders, Noah Gray-Cabey, and Jayma Mays (“Charlie”) in person? Well if you attend the Heroes Eclipses convention being held in the UK from Friday March 14th to Sunday March 16th 2008, you might just get your chance.
