Masi Oka in Searching for Sonny Movie Trailer
Besides his regular stint on “Hawaii Five-O”, Masi Oka has found time to do movies. His latest is 2011′s “Searching for Sonny”, in which he plays a guy who goes missing. You don’t really see a whole lot of him in the trailer, but hey, he is basically at the center of the movie, so I’m guessing he’ll at least have something to do in the movie. Check out the trailer below.
Sendhil Ramamurthy and Kristen Bell Reunite on The Lifeguard
Looks like there’s a “Heroes” reunion going on on the set of “The Lifeguard”, an indie film starring Kristen Bell as “a reporter on the verge of 30 who abandons her life in New York City, returns home to get her high school job as a lifeguard, and starts a dangerous relationship with a 16-year-old delinquent.” No word on what character Sendhil Ramamurthy will play in the movie, but he’s coming off the USA Network show “Covert Affairs”, where he was recently killed off in the season premiere.
Promo Trailers and Images for Hayden Panettiere’s New Show Nashville
In which Hayden Panettiere sings. Country music, apparently. Hunh. The show will be premiering this Fall on ABC. It co-stars Connie Britton of “Friday Night Lights”, Eric Close (“Without a Trace”), Powers Boothe, Jonathan Jackson, Burgess Jenkins, Robert Wisdom and Clare Bowen.
More about the show:
Hayden Panettiere Lands Lead in New Show Nashville
With all the former Heroes cast landing new shows (Ali Larter in CIA drama “The Asset”, Masi Oka on “Hawaii Five-O”, Milo Ventimiglia on L.A. Noir), I’ve been wondering what everyone’s favorite cheerleader Hayden Panettiere has been doing with her time. Turns out, she’s been auditioning, too, and has now landed the female lead in the new show “Nashville”.
Milo Ventimiglia Lands New TV Series L.A. Noir
Since “Heroes” went off the air, Milo Ventimiglia has been spending a lot of time in the movies. Looks like he’s ready to get back into the swing of daily TV, as the trades report that Milo has landed one of the male leads in the new TNT period drama “L.A. Noir” from “The Walking Dead” producer/writer/director Frank Darabont.
Masi Oka Gets Bleach’ed, Ali Larter Becomes an Asset, and Robert Knepper Joins a Cult
A trio of casting updates for some “Heroes” actors who have landed jobs elsewhere.
As some of you may already know, Masi Oka is a regular on the CBS show “Hawaii Five-0″, but it looks like he’s expanding into movies again. Oka will produce a live-action version of the Japanese manga/anime “Bleach” for Warner Bros. with his “Get Smart” director Peter Segal. (via Variety)
The Heroes Season 4 Major Character Death Revealed. SPOILERS!!!
So yes, it’s now official. Remember those rumors we posted earlier of a major Heroes character from the first season biting it for good in Season 4? Well Nikki Finke over at Deadline Hollywood Daily spoiled the surprise earlier tonight, and as a result the other outlets who have been teasing the news, including Kristin over at E! Online, have confirmed it. THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO TURN AWAY BEFORE THE IDENTITY OF THE PERSON IS REVEALED BELOW.
Andrew Connolly is the Other Sullivan Brother
A quickie casting addition: former Lost castmember Andrew Connolly has joined the Heroes Season 4 cast in a multi-episode arc. The Hollywood Reporter says Connolly will play the brother of Samuel Sullivan (played by Robert Knepper), Season 4′s new villain/mysterious man who has been going around recruiting people with powers. Since we know that Samuel used to have a brother name Joseph, I think it’s safe to say that Connolly will be playing Joseph, perhaps in flashback, or possibly featured in some time-traveling episodes, of which there seems to be a lot of in the upcoming season.
Claire Cheerleader Set Pics, Elisabeth Rohm Joins Cast
No matter how hard she tries to leave that old cheerleader uniform behind, they keep pulling her back into it! Such is life for Claire Bennett, who is all grown up and in college in the upcoming Heroes Season 4. New set pics from Heroes has Hayden Panettiere back in her old Odessa high school cheerleader uniform, and we’re told this is a time-travel episode that will also feature Sylar and Hiro, who were both on set for the shoot. No doubt it probably has something to do with Hiro’s attempts to save Charlie.
Jayma Mays’ Charlie to Return to Heroes Season 4
Okay, so it’s only for one episode, but it is everyone’s favorite Texas diner waitress Charlie Andrews, Hiro’s first one true love, so it should be good news to all you Charlie-Hiro fans out there. According to Michael Ausiello over at Entertainment Weekly, the time-traveling Hiro will be once again try to save Charlie from her Sylar run-in as part of his “bucket list”.
