Adrian Pasdar, Ali Larter, and David Anders Back for Season 3?

Let’s face it, it doesn’t look like the writers strike will be solve fast enough for the second half of Heroes Season 2 to return as scheduled, so that will mean we’ll just have to move on to Season 3. Speaking of which — who will be back, and who won’t? According to Kristin over at E! Online, it appears the Heroes writers, besides not having a job at the moment, really finds it difficult to kill off its characters, in particular Adrian Pasdar, who has, from my count, supposed to die twice on the show already, but have always miraculously survived.
Here’s what Kristin had to say about Heroes’ returning castmembers:
A well-placed source tells me there appears to be a plan in place for when the show returns, and it involves Kristen Bell, David Anders and…yes, Adrian Pasdar and Ali Larter all back in the mix and most likely as series regulars. Happy news? I’d say so, but you tell me in the Comments section below!
So there you go. According to Kristin, Pasdar will return as a series regular, and so will Ali Larter. David Anders and Kristen Bell will also return, but then again, didn’t we expect — and want — this? The Larter and Pasdar returns, though, is more open to debate. Do we really want them back? Wouldn’t the show work better without them?

I think the thing that’s hard is killing of “Original Characters”. If they made it past the first season, we got used to them and expect them to be around. Some are better characters than others, but I can’t imagine “life” without Pasdar. Besides, it seems he complements his brother. And Nikki is interesting, because there could be more personalities.
And of course Hiro is essential…

My dear, the show just can’t go on without Nathan. He is the antagonist for his weak brother, Peter. The youngest Petrelli there’s absolutely no function without his big brother. Just observe in season 2 how boring and annoying was to watch a “Nathanless” Peter. I totally agree with Kristen: Heroes without the brothers is like “Brothers & Sisters” and “Prison Break” without brothers.

I totally want Nathan back. So, yeah! It is what I want. I’m fine with the characters mentioned coming back. I just don’t need some of the other newbies who brought nothing to show from the short lived season 2.

I’ll be content if they really do come back, I mean at first it seemed like a stupid idea to kill off main characters. Plus nikki/jessica is a great chracter. Plus, I hope the rumor is true about her turning into full on jessica, then she would be one of the villains that would be tight. Nathan, yeah i hope he stays becuse it was dumb for them to try to kill him off.
They should stickto more intense storytelling and less killing of any characters, main or otherwise.

And Adam definitly. It wasnt till near the end of the season that we found out exactly who he was.Theres a wealth of history and storylines that can be created with his character

Nathan needs to come back because the Petrelli story is a major necessity on the show right now, and lets face it, Peter kind of sucks without him (No offense to Ventimiglia, I think he’s amazing). Plus, it’d be a little tacky if he survived a nuclear blast but not a couple of gunshot wounds.
Niki, however, should definately stay dead. She and her little story never fit in. All they did was waste episode time every week.
And of course Adam should live, this volume is called Villans, and he’s a good one.

I’ll say it again…Nathan’s story was over in season 1..he stopped the bomb from destroying NYC..in Season 2 he wasn’t good for anything except the cause of a cheesy line after flying to Primatech with Matt…he may help Peter realize his potential, but other than that he’s pointless..and West has already been introduced as the new “flight” character so lets stick with him..
As for Niki…I couldn’t be happier she’s returning..its doens’t really make sense that she would survive after that explosion, but the posibilities for her character are so strong!! (and also the orphan card has already been played with Claire, lets not try it again with michah)

Plainly put, no the show would not be better without Adrian Pasdar. As much as I like Elle and Adam they’d be better off getting rid of both of them if it meant keeping Nathan, that’s how important he is to the show. Ali Larter I’m rather indifferent to, I don’t dislike her character just how distant she always is from everyone else.

to me im glad that nathan is bak and also that kensei will be bak and the show is called “Heroes” and it is like a comic book and it is even more like that all the ime because in comic books the good guys always come bak and even the bad guys even if they seem like there was no way out of that situation they always return as well so it is jst like a comic book lol

Im glad that the characters are back, but Peter remembers everything now and he realizes he was manipulated by adam so to say that peter “needs nathen” isnt quite true. of course adam is comming back he never died, niki/jessica should come back as well but i think she should come back somewhat as a villain and micah and monica would have to snap her out of it that would be a good plot line for the new orleans story. I think Nathen should die temporarliy just so Peter would get pissed and hunt down his “killer” as for the press conference why doesnt peter take over and say hey look what i can do and shoot lightning, then again everyone was running for their lives but matt could stop them and tell them to listen again. how about this for a twist it was the illusionist girl that shoots nathen but she didnt really shoot him she made it look like she did to everyone there just to stop the press conferance that would tie up nathen comming back nicely as wel, just a few thoughts i had when i heard this

i personaly think nathan is useless all he can do is fly but nikki in the other hand shes very good at fighting and shes hot 
but seeing them both alive well its good. Hero Guy you have a really big imagination but the thing is peter was traumatized to see that his brother was shot! i mean come on! if your parents dies during an important speech which will you care about more your parents dying or the important speech? ofcourse if you would say important speech then it simply just implies that you dont care about your family.

I’m just happy to see a return of the series and see what the team comes up with befeor I decide whether having Niki and Nathan back is good or bad. I actually do like these characters. Whe I’d really love to see or read about is a possible return for Claude… like soon. Until then, that there is a plan in place for Heroes to return and save a couple characters I like, will do.

I am really happy that they are bringing Ali Larter back as Niki/Jessica… BUT only if they make her character more crucial to the main storyline of the show.
I think they will otherwise they would have just killed her off!
As for Nathan, I really couldn’t care less if he lived or died, i found him incredibly boring in Generations, I just wish they’d tie up the Clare/Nathan storyline.
AS for David Anders-YAY!! althought I think we all guessed he’d dig his way out and be back eventually!

I think that Nikki/ Jessica needs to live!! she could have a really important story that has yet to be told! and she cant just leave micah stuck at that house in New Orleans! like what benjamin said, lets try not to do the whole orphan thing again!!
Nathan needs to live to because hes the only reason that Peter does what he does really: he trys to help people all the time (in season 1 he tries to help nathan win the election, but that just ends up being an excuse for nathan to call him suicidal). Nathan makes peter stronger!
Kensei should come back to because the next volume’s called villans and he was definetely up there next to sylar! he was so incredibly amazing as an evil person! i also think Elle should come back because although she was evil for most of the second season, i think she can become part of the good team!

Nathan Petrelli could instead come back as a semi-villain too - kinda like darker than he was in Season 1.. We’ve already been teased before about a brother vs brother ‘biblical’ confrontation back in Season 1 (eventhough it was Sylar).. We’ve also been teased about the darkness within him in Season 2 when he looked in the mirror, or when Parkman’s dad screwed with his head.. The gunshot he received could just be the thing to push him over the edge and takes matters in his own hands.. starting the same kind of organization that the older generation did.. he has the connections.. perhaps you ask, how powerful is a flying man? who knows there maybe something more beyond just flying? we only thought parkman could read minds but now he is going beyond just reading minds.. maybe nathan’s ability is really the power to manipulate gravity?
Nikki/Jessica - i think most people would already agree and guess that it would be Jessica or some other personality returning.. ’nuff said..

When Villians is eventually made, we all expect Munroe and Sylar to work together with a whole bunch of nasties, with one of them as leader, but, to prevent total doom and gloom there has to be a hero, who can lead the heroes in the same way, and that MUST be Nathan, he’s got leadership qualities and perhaps the strongest rational, he’s already been tempted down darker paths but has decided to do what’s right.
If they did get rid of Nathan, I’d have Matt Parker take that sorta role.
Peter and Hiro are more sutied to being the unsure duo who eventually make everything right having gone in a big circle to do it. Surresh is everyone’s conscience. Claire, Micah and such are more side characters who support the grand events.
Nikki is a character I really like, but she’s harder to fit, I think she worked well as a support to Surresh, someone with good intentions but the capacity to be far more proactive about. I think Elle is in a simular mold.
What bothers me more is, what is the point is Angela Perterrli, she seems to be this controlling figure, even more obscure than linderman but nothing to indicate exactly what she’s up to has been shown, if she isn’t cleared up sooner or later I think she’d be a character I’d drop.
Far more important question: What they gunna do with Ando?

I think Niki should live! She was one of the characters that got me hooked way back in the first episode.Of course I think Nathan is a good character, but come on, how many times can this dude escape death. It’s starting to get a little corny with all the “end of the world” mumbo-jumbo, then NOBODY dies! NO ONE! D.L.’s death was bogus, and everyone else that died (Lindermen, Charlie, Kaito, etc.)aren’t really that interesting, to me, it was like killing off an extra, they didn’t really do anything. Like with Lindermen planning on creating the explosion, and he didn’t have like anything to with it other than Micah. That got him credit for planning to blow up New York, getting Micah to rig some election…Lame!
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Heroes. It has great stories, characters, and some pretty cool powers [that aren't really showed that offen, so there new and interesting]. It’s just a few minor things in the grand scope of the show that bug me.
If Nathan died, to me, it’s not the end of the world. It wouldn’t really mean that much to me at all, cause, well, IT’S A TELEVISION SHOW! Some people act like this is real and pour their hearts out about how Nathan should live, or this person should die, and blah, blah, blah. IT’S TV PEOPLE! The writers know what they’re doing, they got it all planned out ready [regardless of the strike]. They probably have Season 3 all planned out, and some of Season 4.So…yes they MIGHT look on this website and read some suggestions, but chances are it’s probably already too late for then to change what they’ve planned. GET OVER IT! Whomever’s ganna live, is ganna live and whomever’s ganna die, is ganna die, that’s how television shows work!

Peter Petrelli (Ventimiglia) Not an easy one on expect a possible death.
Claire Bennet (Panetiere) She will last all the show.
Nathan Petrelli (Pasdar) If Nathan dies HRG/Noah Bennet must die before him.
Hiro Nakamura (Oka)If Hiro dies Adam Monroe must die before him.
Nikki Sanders (Larter) I dont think she will die, but perhaps.
Matt Parman (Grunberg) He will die in future seasons, his death is necesary.
Mohinder Suresh (Ramamurthy) He will survive.
This 7 are the series’s original’s they at least must live 5 seasons, edn of comment, and about deaths.
My bet of the 7 originals the ones that may be necesary to kill at the end are: Nathan and Matt, and possible Peter, Nikki perhaps, and characters to survive at the end are Claire, Hiro and Mohinder.

Honestly, and this is just my opinion so take it or leave it as you will, I’m going to have to agree that the writers know what they’re doing. The did a quintuple cliffhanger with multiple outs for each one. Nikki/Jessica may or may not have gotten out or even just lived through the explosion. Nathan may or may not be able to be healed by Peter’s blood, just because he’s got the power doens’t mean that he’s exactly the same as Adam or Claire. Peter could also manipulate time and change things, or he could find out who shot him. But I do think that announcing to the wolrd that these people exist would make the show a little TOO much akin to X-Men. It’s already got the varied powers and main characters, and if all of a sudden the world knows about these people, then it just X-Men with a different name basically. but the way it ended made perfect sense given the events that led up to it so I think we can put our faith in the writers, they know what they’re doing. Plus, if we decided what was going to happen, then there wouldn’t be any surprise left in it now would there:)

joram i dont think you need to worry about insulting anyone your opinion is very intelligent and well stated and i agree with you 100 percent, alot of people were dissappointed with season 2 but i thought it was really good, it could have been better but there was the damn writters strike to make the volume end early, but yes all in all the writters and most importantly Tim knows what theyre doin and i have a feeling that they do listen our opinions and take them into concideration, for example i was one of the first people to say wee need to see someone with super speed and now the “create a hero” thing on nbc.com has the 2 characters with somekind of speed control power. I just hope that when the strike is over we do actually get to see heroes:origins as well as our regular heroes double up on the heroes goodness
oh one question does anyone know if they are goin to release volume 2 on dvd by itself or are they going to wait till villains is out and combine the 2? bring my heroes back soon

I would also have to agree. For I am also a “Hero-holic”. It would be pretty awesome if some characters did came back. Not only Nathan, Nikki, or Adam, but what about Claude, and what would happen if Thompson was brought back from the dead. The possibilities are endless, Heroes fans. By the way HERO GUY, I also feel your pain. Due to poor mail shipping, my Netflix had to be cancelled and the first disk for season one was the next DVD to be shipped, and now I too am suffering from Heroes withdraw. Darn it!

If Nathan returns it won’t be because of Peter. Peter’s power is a power he calls upon, so his blood won’t be able to work. I think he will come back either because of Claire or Adam’s blood is now apart of Nathan??? Can Nathan now heal? I like Nikki, so I’m cool with her return. Elle was obvoius, there is more to her story to be told. And here’s a little something to think about, COULD PETER TURN ON US IN SEASON 3.

Nathan should be able to heal from the gun shot wounds, doesn’t he have Adams’ blood in him. Nikki may be weak but her Ego half can do the impossible. For season 3 Nikki’s Ego would be an excellent Villain, Micah would have to die for that though? Nathan is essential for Peter to be a
Hero and not a Villain. Is Peter going to be a Villain in Season 3. I’ve seen all episodes and I finally have all 34 episodes. I’m looking forward to more. PLEASE let this strike END.

I just got done watching one of the episodes from Season 2 again and noticed that Nathan can’t heal. He’s looking in the mirror and sees a burnt version of him and punches it, and it doesn’t heal. He has to bandage it up for the next 2 episodes. And just thought of something, what if the “something in return” that company wanted was Jessica. What if they could somehow have Jessica without having Nikki. Nikki dies but Jerssica is still around.

Personally I think “Nicole _Niki_ Sanders” is the most original character on the show. Most of the others are similar to X-MEN characters, but what comic character is super strong and has a real life disorder called Dissociative Identity Disorder aka Multiple Personality Disorder.
I really hope to see Ali Larter back on the show after all Micah her character’s son shouldn’t lose his mother especially since he lost his father D.L.
Bring NIKI back, and let’s get this pointless writer’s strike doen and over with.

I am a big fan of HEROES, but seriously their bad characters. Nikki/Jessica not the most original, anybody know the story of Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde. Same concept. And as for why Linderman had pictures of her family, he made is possible for Nikki to hook up with DL. He put everything together so they could have Micah. Micah was how Linderman planned on getting Nathan to office and letting Peter blow up. Linderman planned it all out.

i personnally loved heroes as it was in series 1. i think if too many of the original characters die, people (including me) will lose interest. I think there is a lot more to be developed in the niki/nathen storyline, especially now that DL has died. there is more to that relationship than meets the eyes and I beleive that if nikki DOES become a villain, nathen will be the one to reach her.
I was very disappointed with series 2 (yes I know there’s the writers strike, but most shows follow outlines written early on). I think that the new characters didn’t really bring much to the show and adam/kensai, was a bit of a disappointment after syler and the build up with molly. However I must admit that I really liked elle and look forward to watching her next season as I think that she holds some secrets about The Company as well as repressed memories of her dad’s cruelty.
Can’t wait for series 3!!

AS TO NATHEN HEALING HIMSLEF, I THOUGHT I ALREADY SAID THAT WHEN THE BLOOD IS USED IT IS ONLY TEMPORARY MEANING IT PROBABLY ONLY WORKS THE FIRST TIME YOU HEAL, THAT BEING SAID NATHEN WILL PROBABLY DIE, TEMPORARILY THO HE COULD COME BACK WITH CLAIRS BLOOD, AND I DO AGREE WITH VERB101 THAT PETER CALLS ON THE POWERS TO USE ON HIMSELF TO MIMIC THE POWER AND TO NOT REALLY HAVE THE ORIGINAL POWER BUT I MAY BE WRONG AND HE COULD USE HIS BLOOD HEALING HIM AND GIVING HIM THE ABSORBED VIRUS, THIS COULD BE THE PANDORAS BOX THAT ANGELA WAS TALKING ABOUT ITS EITHER THAT OR AN ENRAGED PETER, ME THINKS THAT NATHEN WILL GET BAGGED AND TAGGED BY THE COMPANY AND HEALED YET CAPTUREDAND HE’LL PROBABLY RUN INTO NOAH AGAIN AND HAVE BAD BLOOD TOWARDS HIM SHOULD BE INTERSETING TO SEE

okokok, fair nuff, but go back a bit. Could Peter have met Linderman previously???? Maybe when his ability manifested? Adam would have taught Peter to properly tap into his abilities…..known and unknown. Peter still has quite a few unknown abilities. it could be that he inherited Linderman’s power of healing once when they met/may have met, but if Nathan is revived…..there had better be a good explanation for it. Also, Peter’s got phasing…..could phase into Nathan matrix style ad get the bullets out. Can be done. These are just 2 options. The healing blood thing got old the first time, except i love that it gave Sylar back his powers!!!! I hope he doesn’t have illusion. He’d be almost invincible.
I don’t want Nathan or Niki to die. None of them will. We’ll see

I think that by killing Nathan the show keeps us glued to our seats. If every time a character gets killed they just bring him/her back, then why would anyone care what happened to ANY character.
I think the death of Nathan was necessary, in order to pull on the heartstrings of the audience, and keep us actually WORRIED about the well-being of our favorites.
Oh and also… Nikki/Jessica were boring once you found out what was going on with her. I’m glad she got toasted and I hope she stays that way!

HERO GUY, Nathan does have blood dripping from his crisp white shirt after being shot. So no bullet proof vest, but way to think outside the box. I’m really alright with Nikki/Jessica being dead, she never thrilled me anyways. But if Nathan is gone I will be sad. I almost broke my tv when my favorite character (Noah Bennett) died, stupid Mohinder.

Nathan should be dead, because his character was not that interesting and didnt bring much to the table. Nikki/Jessica and Adam could however bring a good twist. If think they should keep Nikki alive if they keep Jessica alive but keep Jessica in power (at least for a while.) Also Adam obviously has more to do in this show. Nathan however, not so much. Sorry if I disagree with most of you.

honestly, i hope that nathan will die in the next season, because there are two heroes who can fly, is it good? i think not. then, nathan never open the secret about their powers and if nathan die, west would get a big turn on heroes and peter was surprised with west’s power which has a same power with his brother.

i think niki must die too or in critize condition if she alive but jesicca must alive!!! niki was dead but jesicca still alive. in the other word, niki’s personallity must dead but jesicca’s personallity must alive and it is good if jesicca become a villain, and there are a battle : jesicca vs micah & “the copycat” monica. so, micah was adopted by monica.

I would like Nikki/Jessica to live also, but seperated. That the traumatic event evolved her powers to an actual body clone. One clone evil and one good and both sre fighting for Micah. Jessica wants Micah to use him in evil plans and Nikki because of love
Adrian should also live. I think a good plot for him would be to marry Nikki and help in her struggle against Jessica and protecting Micah. There’s still alot of possibities of conflict between him and his mother. Who may have some very evil dark secrets for him and Peter to discover and unfold.
Kristen bell on the other hand, she is pretty, but her character seems too shallow. I f I were to pick anyone to die it would be her. She could be made more interesting if she were to become Jessica’s side kick and Claire’s arch enemy.
I love the Monica/Micah duo. Lot’s of possiblities there. Evil or good it sounds exciting.
Sylar needs an army. He is boring alone.
Matt, good powers, boring character with no charisma. He needs to go evil. A dark Matt would definatlely be good.
I have too many Ideas, so I’ll stop now.

Heroes would be NOTHING without Ali Larter. She is by far the most interesting character in Heroes. She’s a gorgeous, strong, multi-personality woman- who wouldn’t want to see that? I literally cried when I thought she died in that explosion so now that I know she survived I can’t wait to see her in season 3. Ali Larter is my favorite actress she kicks a$$.

I wouldn’t mind Niki coming back but there is no way she could survive that explosion unless she has a healing ability too which would be very cliche. We don’t need MORE people that can heal. But if she does come back, I hope they actually make her interact with people other than Micah.
Adam Monroe has got to stay. He’s a great character and if they kill him off, they’re gonna kill off the show with him.
Nathan….whatever. I never really liked that character much anyway. And this season is called Villains. Who cares if he’s not there to support Peter, it’s not like they’re gonna focus heaps on him anyway.
Elle should stay as well. I won’t really care if they kill her off though.
